Week in Review.. Sept 16, 2018

Ashlyns friend did her hair, and it looked so cute!!

Ashlyn did Abby's hair too...

Haley and her friend at Target...

Sweet baby Lilly looking so big!!
Abby is getting more and more comfortable at Kindergarten! She's made some friends and loves being there. She was the Letter expert on Monday for the letter B and I just happened to be volunteering in the classroom that day, so she didn't perform her memorized poem. She just buried her head in my shoulder, I think it was because I was there, if I hadn't been there i think she may have been braver...
We had a dentist appt on Monday and it was the first time that she let the hygenist clean her teeth and let the dentist look at her teeth without screaming! It was a great visit! She's growing up:)
On Wednesday it was extra early release from Elementary school which means that it's extra late start for the middle schoolers. So Ash and her friends decided to go and volunteer at Zaharis, it was fun for Ashlyn to help in Abby's classroom and see all of her old teachers. They wish they could still go to school there...

More Kindergarten friends...
Still doesn't like pictures though...hahaha!
She even had a playdate this week...
Making carpet angels...
I did a quick project this week and added some trim to the windows in the family room...

Abby still loves playing with these magnet toys...

We had Stake Conference this weekend and we had Elder Carlos Villareal visiting from the 70. He was a neat guy. We learned lots this weekend, here are some of my take away notes--
Ministering is one of the greatest revelations of the last days. We need to understand the needs of those we minister to, address those needs and then minister to them.
The gathering of Israel is the most important thing happening today. Everyone deserves to hear the message and decide for themselves. We must minister 1st to our spouse, 2nd to our families.
Make your calling a part of your family, and make your family a part of your calling.
Schedule in your ministering to make it happen.
We need the temple more than anything else, He will pour out his blessings upon us when we serve in the temple. President Nelson asked us to find those things we can set aside, in order to attend the temple.
If we are struggling, then we know we are on the right path. The path to the Savior is an ascending path. (I loved that one!)
Patriarchal blessings are our personal sacred scripture.
Starve the natural man, feed the spiritual man.
Self-control is like a muscle, the more we use it, the easier it gets.
