It's been a long and crazy 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago Jacob ended up in the ER after an intense weekend of learning he had strep and not being able to breathe and having a fever of 102. The ER dr said that his strep had moved to his heart, and that we needed to be transferred to the heart hospital. Luckily the ER that we were at, was attached to the heart hospital. So once a room was ready, around 11 pm, we wheeled jacob's bed to his room at the Heart Hospital. We spent the night trying to sleep, but the nurses were laughing outside our room all night. We didn't end up getting much sleep. The next morning jacob had an ultrasound done on his heart where they figured out that he had Myocarditis which means inflamation around his heart. They told us that it can take months to heal and that he needed to rest and keep his heart rate down. We were finally released around 5pm on Monday. We kept him home all week to rest. A week later on Tuesday, we took him for his follow up and they told us they need to put a heart monitor on him for 2 weeks and that he could return to school. He went to school on Wednesday and Thursday and it stressed his body out so much that I had him stay home on Friday. We have been trying to get his dr to write a note to excuse him from school, we are still waiting.
When we go for walks, there's this dog that jumps super high over the wall to bark at us. We call him jumping jack, he's hilarious...

Abby had her medieval feast on Friday, it was a fun day for her. At the end of the school day her class was all lined up to run back into class, apparently they needed to burn off some energy....
