Weeks in review…

My cute nieces were awesome in their primary program! Way to go Macey and Mya. 

It’s been quite the week for me. On Monday morning I finished a med I was taking for a uti. At 2pm I started itching and thinking I must’ve gotten mosquito bites all over my wrists and legs, by 4pm I was itching all over my body so I went to the drs. They gave me a steroid shot and prescribed me a med to help calm the itch so I can sleep and told me to take a Benadryl. I was sleepy by 6pm but woke up at 9 feeling like I was going to faint, throw up and feverish. I started panicking nothing something wasn’t right. It was so scary. I woke up Rick and he drove me through a monsoon to the ER. They rushed me back and gave me an EpiPen and more Benadryl. I just remember shaking like crazy, but eventually I started to feel more calm. Around midnight they said I could go home. I woke up around 4am itching like crazy and then started to realize my lips were swollen which immediately set me off panicking again so Rick took me back to the ER. They gave me another EpiPen shot and said they were admitting me. They kept giving me steroids, Benadryl and Pepcid. I kept telling them the meds weren’t working and the rash was getting worse but they said to just keep taking the meds😅😆. They sent me home on Wednesday morning and I went back to work on Thursday. I still had a bad itchy rash but it was distracting to be at work which is what I needed. Friday my rash started going away finally and I wasn’t engulfed in itchiness. The rash is still lingering, but about 95% gone. I’m so thankful for all the family that checked in on me, it meant so much to me. It was a very scary time. I’m thankful that I’ve got people who love me!

Also my cute brother Ronny got put in as the bishop of his ward. His ward is the luckiest to get to learn from him. He has such a giving heart and he’s really fun. He’s gonna be an amazing leader!

Weeks in Review

We took a trip up to Park City Utah last weekend and spent time with Rick's family. It was great to get together and spend some time together. There's nothing like it, I miss having my family get together with everyone. 

We got to stop at Jacob Lake Inn to check out where Ashlyn worked last summer, we even bought some yummy cookies from the cookie store where she worked. It's a beautiful place!

We also stopped by the provo river to see Bridal Veil Falls before stopping in Park City, it's such a beautiful place...

When we got to Park City, the kids got to sleep in a double bunk bed room and Rick and I had a king size bedroom, we were lucky because a lot of kids had to sleep on hide-a-beds and even Kevin and Haley had to spend 2 nights on a hide-a-bed. 

We did a hike one day to Wall Lake and the kids jumped off the cliff, they had fun. I enjoyed the nice cool water, it was beautiful. Jacob stayed home, he couldn't have done the mile hike in and out. 

On our first night I went for a walk and saw a deer!

Poor Haley burst her ear drum when she jumped off the cliff, poor girl. 

One night we got to see an Olympic show, the skiers went down ramps and did really cool tricks. It was amazing to watch!

We also got to tube down the provo river, it was quite the adventure! Both Bob and Kevin were overturned in their kayaks and it's impossible to turn it back over with the rushing water. Luckily both of them were able to have help and eventually get their kayaks overturned. The tubes were all tied together, which caused a lot of drama when the river would fork or big rocks would pop up. It was a lot of fun, but we also got pretty bruised up. 

Abby had lots of fun rekindling her friendships with her cousins who are her age. We call them the three musketeers. They're pretty cute and spent lots of time trying to avoid getting their picture taken...

 We have been pup sitting again this weekend, we love having cute little Maisy in the house! Rusty is starting to complain a little bit less about her being around...

Sweet Lilly girl was baptized on Saturday. She sang a song, and Ethan and Austin both gave talks, it was adorable. I wish I could've been there. I miss the Paul's!

Abby had a family search night and found that she looks the most like her great grandpa!

It's been an eventful few weeks. I started back to work on Friday and Abby had a 7th grade orientation on Thursday and made a couple of friends. She says that she's not nervous to start middle school, so I'm hoping she has a smooth transition. She starts back to school on the 6th. Here we go!
