Ashlyn painted her owala water bottle, so cute!
Last Sunday we took Haley and Kevin to the temple Christmas lights and we went through the visitors center to look at all of the nativity scenes from different countries. It was really cool. Ashlyn got to go to Southern California to perform in the seal beach parade and go to Disneyland! She had the best time!
She knows that I love nutcrackers, so she took all the pics of nutcrackers that she saw...
Haley and Kevin made this gingerbread house at Haley's work Christmas party...
I loved seeing this Nativity scene from Germany because it reminded me of the one that my Nana and Papa had at their house. I wish I had been old enough to ask them how they interpreted this scene. My interpretation of this is that the candles represent the light that Jesus brought to the world and the windmill only starts when it feels the heat, warmth and light that Jesus brought to the Earth by being resurrected. The windmill turns for eternity once it feels the light. There's probably lots of other interpretations that can be made for this scene too. It's so beautiful and brings back lots of memories for me of special Christmas' spent at their house on Christmas Eve.
My cute Dad!
We are excited for this Christmas season and Lighting the World.
