Week in Review...

I was walking out of my mentor's classroom and I looked up and saw this picture that Abby had made for her! So cute!

On Thursday night I was walking and saw this amazing SpaceX rocket launching, it was so bright! It was taking a bunch of satellites out to space...

We had our wards Fall festival last night and Abby was a cheerleader and Jacob was a JROTC guy and Ashlyn had a band competition so she couldn't go...

It was a good week, today is my brother Ryan's birthday! The big 40, I can't believe it! I still remember running down to Sunset Elementary each year on his birthday for the carnival and trying to win a cake for his birthday on the cake walk. I think every year we were successful, and we brought home some pretty cool cakes. Ryan was such a fun playmate growing up, I wish we lived closer so our kids could know each other better. Love ya Ryan!

 

Week in Review...

Ashlyn got an early birthday present that I had been eagerly saving for her. She has some black off brand high top shoes that she loves and one morning she was trying to tape them together because they were falling apart. I told her that I felt it necessary that I give her a birthday present early. She opened up some black high top converse, they're so cute with flowers all over them! They made me nostalgic for the high-top converse shoes that I had worn in high school. Funny how the fashions keep circling around....she looks cute!

On Friday it was crazy hair and crazy socks day and one of my students was upset that he didn't have crazy hair like all of his friends, so we borrowed some hair spray from another teacher and I got to work....he was very excited and told everyone in the school that Mrs. Johnson had done his hair!

I found this huge cricket or grasshopper, not sure what it is on the front of our house...

It was a good week, the kids are busy and we are busy. Life is good.

 

Week in Review...

This weekend was Homecoming and Ashlyn had a full load, first was the homecoming parade, then the homecoming game and then they had a band competition on Homecoming day, so she didn't get to go to the dance. Unfortunately as soon as they had all of their makeup and outfits ready, the band competition was cancelled due to the rain. Stinks! She later found out that she's allergic to the lipstick, poor girl. 

Homecoming parade, Ashlyn was in the colorguard and Jacob was marching with the JROTC. 

Jacob got to hold the banner because he's a Sargent's assistant, one of 3 out of the hundred or so kids...he got a promotion this week!

It was a good week of getting back into the swing of work and school, the kids are busy with all of their activities, Abby is doing gymnastics 4x/week with 2 different teachers and she's mastered a back handspring! She's learning so much!
