Week in reVIEW

Last Sunday Sarah and her family had dinner with Becca and Haley and Max and Bob! It was a big extended family gathering! So fun!

Jacob got to go do Baptisms with the Weidman boys and go to Bahama Bucks afterward!

I finished my classroom! It feels so good to be done, now I can focus on preparing lessons and organizing materials. I start work on Thursday, I'm so nervous!

Ashlyn had quite the experience trying to get her driver's license! On Sunday, we walked out to the car and Ashlyn was in the driver's seat and pushed the brakes I commented to Rick that it looked like the back brake light was out but we couldn't tell because it was really bright outside. We talked about how we needed to check it before Ashlyn took her driver's test the next day, and then completely forgot about it! The next day I took Ashlyn to the driver's test, she was so nervous. She started bawling as soon as she was supposed to get started. She had to drive over to the instructor by herself, and wait in line to be tested. About 20 minutes later I saw her drive back into the parking lot and she was in tears. She said that she didn't get to take the test because the back brake light was out, ugh! The instructor was a total jerk to her though, so I think it was a blessing in disguise. I immediately got onto the website and tried to schedule another test because I knew how nervous she was and knew we just needed to get it done. Every location near us was booked out for weeks except for a location in N. Scottsdale about 40 miles away for the next day. I booked it! Rick fixed the light that night and checked to make sure everything else was working so we wouldn't get booted again. Ash and I drove out to Scottsdale and when I saw her drive back I was so nervous but she had a huge smile! Yahoo!! She passed! She only made 1 mistake and her instructor was super nice. We were both relieved! I've been having her do a lot of driving this week to bolster her confidence. It's so nice to have another driver in the house again!

I switched out the letters on my bulletin board so you can see them better now! Super cute!

Ashlyn starts band camp this week, 2 weeks of 7-4 pm. She's going to be exhausted! Tomorrow is Abby's birthday and she's been counting down for over a month, she's so excited!
