Couple week Recap

It's been a busy few weeks, I started student teaching on the 10th and then got Covid. It's been an exciting few weeks for sure. I love this old pic of Sarah and Ashlyn, so cute!

I found this on a selling site, brought back lots of fun memories....

I had two weeks of student teaching before I got Covid, so I've missed this whole last week. It's going to be like starting all over after a week off, so hopefully I can jump in quickly. I have to start teaching a lot more now and it's super scary. I get sick to my stomach everyday before I leave for school, I think this has really helped reaffirm my interest in being a special ed teacher working with small groups. I love being in the classroom, but teaching in front of the whole class is very vulnerable and scary. I'm hoping that I can get over this fear, grow more confident and pass this student teaching experience. Four more weeks and then I get to switch over to special ed. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving being in this 4th grade class, the kids and the teacher are amazing. I just don't feel comfortable taking over someone else's class and teaching students things that I don't feel very proficient in myself. It takes a lot out of me, so I just need to get through the next 4 weeks and then I can step back into my element.

We got Abby a gymnastics air track and she's been loving it!

We took a hike on Martin Luther King Jr day, it was a beautiful day for a hike...

In my teaching clothes...

Kim sent me some old pics...

The kids had to stay home all week too, so they had a fun break from school. Hopefully we can all stay healthy over the next 4 weeks because I can't miss anymore school. I think that's my biggest worry is that Abby gets sick and I have to miss more time. I'm only allowed 3 days off and I've taken 5. I'll have to make up the extra 2 days by spending more time after my official class time is over. So, I'm praying everyone stays healthy because a lot is riding on us being healthy.
