Yesterday we took 2 kayaks and my new paddleboard out to Saguaro lake, the paddleboard works really well. Everyone got a try on it, here's Rick trying it out. He got up on it, his first time standing on a paddleboard. Unfortunately he lost his RX sunglasses when he looked down into the water. Stinks! We are loving just loading the kayaks into the back of the truck, what a blessing!
Abby had a class presentation this week, they sang a song together and presented posters that they worked on. It showcased the process of writing a story. Abby wrote about her day at the beach. She talked about how she spent the whole day at the beach with her cousins, playing mermaid games. Lake Tahoe with her family definitely made an impression on her. Unfortunately I had school and couldn't attend, but Rick got off work early to take her. Ashlyn and Jacob went also. She wore a beautiful dress and did great! She named her story, Sandy day!
Jacob is going to go to a big Mountain Man extravaganza during fall break. I'm helping him to make a bull whip. He sprained his finger at his service project last week. His mountain man will have Steven Lund of the Young men general presidency there! He will be speaking to them!
We put some halloween decor outside and jacob made this string spider web for our gigantic spider....
