Week in Review...

Ashlyns friend Sara drew this for Ashlyn....

We had our wards halloween carnival last night and Abby had a really tough time. She was feeling super nervous the whole time, but was brave to get her face painted and play a few games. I'm proud of her for trying things out of her comfort zone.

She only wore the costume for 2 minutes, when she saw her friend wasn't wearing one.

I found this in Abby's room yesterday, yikes!
The aides were the Super Aides for the storybook parade this year, it was fun!

Jacob loves having pictures taken...

Abby's class celebrated Dia de Los Muertos and she took in a picture of Ricks grandma.

Abby doing some gymnastics tricks...

Abby went to a new friends house on Friday and they had kittens! She was in love....

Ashlyn is doing amazing in color guard and is loving every minute of it! She's so happy that she decided to do it!

Week in Review...

Friday is my internship day where I help in the special ed classroom. I got to teach for the first time on Friday and help decorate their door for the door contest...

Ashlyn and her colorguard got 1st place at their competition! They did great!

Abby had her primary program today! It was so nice being able to sit back and relax and not worry about being in charge of the program! Abby was so nervous but she did great! She said, "On July 24, 2021 I was baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My favorite part about being baptized was being in the water and being with my dad." Then her class got to sing the 2nd verse of When I am Baptized as a class. They were so cute, most of the girls were wearing their white dresses. It was adorable. My favorite sacrament of the year!

Week in Review...

Last night we went to the Celebrate Mesa event that was put on across the street, Abby had lots of fun....Jacob went too with his friends...

Abby made this paper Mesa temple at Activity days, she also made this white handkerchief, which will be perfect for the dedication prayer...

Ashlyn had an away game on friday night and then a band competition on Saturday, we didn't see her both days until 11 pm. She's having a blast, but also getting worn out. Luckily the band took 1st place!

Ashlyn has been super creative with her nails lately, look at her halloween creations!

Wednesday was a tough day for me, I had my first parent teacher conference with Abby being in special education. I bawled the whole time, it's just different when your child isn't learning at the same pace as the other kids her age. Luckily, she is growing a ton and has even met one of her goals! She's doing amazing for her! Sarah was so sweet to send me these delicious donuts!!

Jacob did a lot better this quarter than he did last year, so special education is definitely helping him. I'm grateful that I get to see this side of it, so I can be more empathetic when I'm on the teacher side of things next year.

Haley is still really sick, still throwing up after every meal. She seems to be able to keep fruit and veggies down the best. I'm hoping one of these drs will figure this out, we are excited to see them when they come down for Thanksgiving.
