We have been asked to stay home for the foreseeable future because of the Coronavirus rampaging across the country. Everything is shut down including schools, churches, events, concerts, etc. We have been asked to stay 6 feet away from people, especially if they're sick. My kids are going crazy with boredom, and I'm going crazy as well. Rick is being asked to work from home for the next week and may be out of a job in a few weeks. We are trying to gather up all of the supplies that we will need to survive at home for awhile without going out. We are still trying to go for walks, play outside and stay busy. It's not easy, spirits have been down, tempers have been raging, the world is in chaos. It feels like the craziest scenario is happening, and it's real life. We have moments where life feels normal for a bit and then we hear the news and it's crazy anxiety again. We are praying for this to calm down, for a vaccine to be approved, for meds to help, for something to end this madness. We know this is in the Lord's hands, and what will be will be and try to have a good attitude about it.
We chalked the walk the other day, trying to write inspirational messages...
I found some old journal pages...
Haley wanted a blanket made out of her camp shirts, so I sewed one up. It's not perfect, but she likes it.
Last Sunday we made Abby her own microphone to help her sing the primary songs...
We also learned about amazing church leaders and had the kids write about a church leader and 3 things they had taught them...
A few weeks ago I braved Costco to get some TP, and it was successful after waiting in this line...
Having fun at the park..
We went to go see the big fountain in fountain hills on St. Patrick's day...
We decided to head to the snow on Friday, we found some! The kids had fun sledding down a hill that we found...
One good thing that has come from staying at home is that I'm getting lots of organization done! Hoping this week brings good news and less scary moments!
