Week in Review Oct. 7, 2018

I guess one of the kids took a pic of me while we were going on a walk through the neighborhood...
Abby with her kindergarten friends walking to the Kindergarten playground...
Jacob was Marcos de Niza for the wax museum, he was a monk. Jacob isn't big into dressing up, but he did a great job presenting...

The kids had twin day at school on Friday, jacob matched with his friend but wouldn't let me take a pic. Abby twinned with her good friend at school McKinley. They both wore purple shirts and black pants, they held hands throughout the day. So cute!

McKinley's mom is another aide at the school, so they both get to see us throughout the week.

I subbed everyday last week, and I love getting to see Abby at lunchtime with her friends. They're all so cute!! The little boy in the picture is Abby's good friend Oliver, he's the grand son of a 1st grade teacher at the school. He's so cute! I love Kindergartners!

Abby got to be Queen of the day at school last week. I was worried that she wouldn't participate, but her aide told me she did everything and she even wore the crown into the lunchroom!! All of the kids interview her and then they draw pictures and write a note to her, then she comes home with a cute book from all of her classmates. It's adorable. I'm so proud of her, she growing up!

Watching conference with kids, we have to get a little creative. I set up a little drawing center for Abby.
I moved the comfy chair over, so we could all be comfy:)
It was a great conference with lots of great talks. The conference started with the huge announcement that church will now be only 2 hours! 60 minutes of Sacrament, 10 min break and then 50 minutes of class where SS rotates with RS/YM/YW/EQ each week. Primary is every week. Primary will be 5 min of opening exercises, 20 min of singing and then 25 min of class time. I'm very excited because the new curriculum is home based learning. Every family will receive a study guide for the year, where we will study together as a family and then come together and discuss in our classes. I'm excited for this inspired change. 12 temples were also announced, it's an exciting time to be a part of the gospel.
