Rick was able to get out and go kayaking yesterday with Jacob. It was the first time in a really long time that he felt well enough that he could bend down and get into the kayak. He had a great time!
On Wednesday we celebrated Ricks Birthday, he was supposed to get the day off but he had 2 tours scheduled at the same time so he needed to go in for a few hours to help with a tour. Luckily he was able to spend the rest of the day at home and with the kids. Abby was so excited that it was his birthday because I made a cake! She kept trying to steal little licks of the cake all through the day, luckily she wasn't successful!
Jacob made a special catapult card for Rick, it shot little paper balls.
I made a pot roast for dinner and we had a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting in the middle and chocolate on top.
Abby's dresser broke this week, so I went searching for a more sturdy dresser. I found this beauty, Abby was so excited! She picked out a color for me to paint it and we organized her drawers. It was really cute!
Here's the after shot, she wanted a blue dresser. I think it turned out really cute!
Rick with his presents from Grandma and Grandpa Hahn, he got an airtight cell phone holder for kayaking, a waterproof speaker for kayaking and dress socks:)Ricks mom likes to post old pics of Rick on his birthday, here he is with one of his surf boards growing up...
What a fun birthday! Happy birthday Rick! Also, that dresser looke amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe dresser looks so cute, of course! I have that same waterproof camera holder and love it! I'm glad he had a good birthday!
