Big Bear Lake

We spent the week in Big Bear Lake, CA with Ricks side of the family. This was right before we drove home...

We rented a cabin with his parents and his brother Rob and Kristy also rented a cabin together. They had the pet friendly cabin, and we had the non pet friendly cabin.

Ours had an air hockey table that the kids loved...

I went running a couple of times and I ran past a ski lift mountain...
a zoo...
and a golf range. Pretty cool!
Abby's birthday is coming up and so Aunt Kristy gave her a Minnie Mouse, she hasn't put it down since she got it! She loves Minnie Mouse!

Grandma took the kids to go lizard hunting...

Unfortunately the lake was extremely low, so it was hard to find a nice beach area that wasn't muddy in the water area.

Eventually we found a nice swimming area that allowed the kids to swim around.

Rick brought both kayaks up not knowing that California charges $20/per kayak a day to have each kayak inspected for mussles. California is ridiculous! Luckily his mom helped out with paying the fee, so that they could enjoy kayaking on the lake.

Ashlyn took out one kayak while I took out the other one with Abby.

Abby loves being out on the kayak!
Ashlyn is a really strong rower.

We went on the Alpine Slides that they have, that was really fun! You take a ski lift up the mountain and it has a gorgeous view of the lake.  Here's Haley and Kaylee before they went down...
Grandma with Kody and Haley...
Jacob and Ashlyn...

Rick and Kristy...

On Thursday morning Rick took the older 3 kids along with Rob and his kids and Mike and his kids and Grandma and Grandpa and they rented some waverunners. They all had a great time!

Grandma brought a hammock and I enjoyed swinging in the hammock with Abby. The kids loved the hammock too.

Ashlyn and Jacob going up the ski lift...

I took Abby down the alpine slide and she loved it!

They also had some water slides that the kids went down...

One night we had dinner over at the other cabin and we were all able to eat outside, it was beautiful weather!

The other cabin had a pool table, so the toddlers liked to roll the balls...

Abby is finally starting to warm up to grandma and Grandpa!

We had a spa at our place that the kids went into everyday!

I thought I had pink eye our last day but it turned out to just be allergies, so we decided to head back to the alpine slide!
This time Rick took abby so I could zoom down. It's way more fun going fast!!

It was a fun trip and we made lots of good memories together. We are grateful that we could go and spend this time together as a family!
