Week in Review...

On Friday Rick surprised Jacob by checking him out of school and driving up to the Father and Sons campout. They hadn't planned on going because the weather had shown rain, but the weather reports seemed to be getting better, so they decided to take a chance...the weather looks beautiful on their drive up...

They even got a little fishing in....

And then around midnight the snow started to fall....and didn't stop falling...and Rick's air mattress deflated 3 times...here's the Bishop and his son checking out all the snow...

Jacob...freezing!!

Trying to warm up...

They had a slippery drive home...

I felt so bad when they came home and said that it had snowed because I had packed them all up without any snow gear like beanies, gloves, etc. The dang weather never once mentioned that it might snow! Rick only had his sleeping bag and no blanket. They were definitely not prepared for the extreme cold...so glad that they survived!

On Friday, I had to get Ashlyn out the door by 5:30 so that she could make it to school for her field trip to the Grand Canyon! She had a great day exploring, hiking about a mile down into the canyon and having lots of fun with friends!
She finally made it home around 11:40 that night, whew! That was a long day!
On Wednesday with my Activity day girls we made mothers day gifts, sugar scrub and a yarn flower and a mothers day questionnaire.
Abby and her little daycare friend Darwyn are really big Minnie Mouse fans and so when Darwyn showed up in her Minnie Mouse dress, Abby had to wear hers too:) So cute!
I finally finished the table, I love it! That was a long labor of love for sure!
I've been searching for information on my Fathers Uncle, James Sydney Hahn. He was an amazing Navy pilot that even had an island named after him but for some reason I couldn't find any information on him to add to Family Search. It turns out it was because we had his birthdate wrong. It was so exciting to find his grave marked at the Arlington National Cemetery.
