Rick's sister Becca is having a baby boy in a few weeks so I made her these little bandana bibs. They're so cute! Abby wanted one too!
Rick's birthday was on Tuesday and Abby couldn't resist swiping a lick of frosting...she had such a hard time waiting to eat that cake! It was gluten free and dairy free and tasted so yummy! It actually tastes like a hostess twinkie because I put cream cheese frosting in the middle.
I tried to decorate, but it's the thought that counts right??
Yo can't see it too well, but I drew on our driveway Happy Birthday Rick!
I also made him his favorite, RIBS!
He got a bluetooth speaker, a car wash kit, socks, beard trimmer and a headset to protect his ears when he works with power tools.
He had a good birthday, he had a soccer game with Ashlyn and he loves that! On Monday Ashlyn had some dental work done, she had a tooth extracted and a root canal done. Then she got slammed in the mouth with a soccer ball at the game, ouch! She seems to be a magnet for getting hit with the soccer ball, I think in every game so far she's been hit with the soccer ball. She always gets right back up and keeps playing, but after this hit she needed some time to rest, poor girl. Rick says it's because she's aggressive and always in the action, but it worries my momma heart!!
Making progress on the table...this was before sanding it down...I got most of the top layers off.
Then I stained the wood, to help protect it....
While Rick and I were working on projects on Saturday Ashlyn gave Abby and herself a little makeup makeover. Jacob was there to document it! It was really cute, she even painted her toenails and fingernails. Abby was so excited to come and show me.
I got my hair done for the first time in 3 years! I got some natural highlights put in, and I got about 4-5 inches cut off! It's been a good, busy week!
Haley started running this week with our neighbor Savannah, they ran a mile on Monday morning and Wednesday morning at 5:30! I was so proud!! She came home and she was so happy, so I told her to remember how she feels. It's those happy endorphins that were making her so happy, exercise is so good for us! It's a natural mood lifter and I'm so glad that she's starting to see how true that is.
Just catching up a bit on your blog...your hair looks great! I'm always so impressed by your home improvement projects. That table looks great and so does your fence. Every time I see a picture of Haley I have to double check to see if that's you...or your daughter. LOL! Anyway, I love that you blog so I can see what you're up to a bit. SO jealous of all that kayaking. That looks FUN!
