Week in Review...

I dropped off Jacob for scouts and then picked him up and he had had a tooth knocked out of his mouth! He had fallen and somehow knocked a tooth out. We are hoping it was a baby tooth, but it was next to a spacer, so we're not sure what to do, back to the dentist we go.

Ashlyn played in her tournament for the soccer season. They didn't win their game but Rick found out that he won the Positive Coaching award for grades 3-4. He got a trophy! It was a fun season for Ashlyn to have her daddy coaching.
On Wednesday we had our end of the school year swim party. The girls had lots of fun and we got locked into the pool about 4 times, apparently you need a key to get into the pool and out of the pool! Whoops! Also, the big talk of the day was that Ashlyns teacher got engaged during school! Her fiance handed out roses to all of the kids so that when their teacher came into the room they all handed her a rose and then he walked in and proposed! So cute!

On Thursday I took Abby and the little baby that I watch to Jacobs class presentation. They each read a little snippet about an animal that they researched, Jacob's was the Tiger.

Haley had her final orchestra concert and they did a great job. Haley was recognized for being on the leadership team all year for Orchestra.

Abby brought her phone and tried taking pictures of Haley up on stage too. It was so cute!!

A few days ago I noticed a few bumps along my eyebrow and on my forehead. I went into the dr and they said that I had a sinus infection but they didn't know what the bumps were....so I took benadryl two nights in a row and they haven't gone away, so we're assuming they aren't from an allergy? But we still aren't sure what they are, my eye is all swollen and the bumps kind of sting, yesterday they were giving me headaches, so maybe stinging is better??
This coming week is the kids last week of school. They're very excited!!

Week in Review...

I had a great mothers day last Sunday beginning with the kids letting me sleep in! That's really all that I wanted, sleep!! I got lots of homemade gifts, a love note from Rick, a future pedicure and a great dinner!
Ashlyn got some pictures this week that a parent of a soccer teammate took...they are really good pics!

Rick took Jacob and Ashlyn kayaking on Saturday morning and they found this dock to jump off of into the water. They loved it!

One of my daycare kids came over wearing a dress that Abby has, so they had to be twins for the day!
Jacob got a lot of awards at his pack meeting and has since finished his Wolf!

They had a bounce house that Ashlyn loved...

Ashlyn had her orchestra concert this week, she did a great job!

She also had a playdate with a friend where they made the layers of the grand canyon out of pudding, made me take a video of them and send it to their teacher:)
It was cute!
Last night we had our wards scout auction, we got a slip 'n slide, a soccer ball, a diffusing necklace and a pair of Diamondback tickets  row 12! They came with a free parking pass and a bobblehead! It was a very successful night for the scouts! They earned $11k!!

Week in Review...

On Friday Rick surprised Jacob by checking him out of school and driving up to the Father and Sons campout. They hadn't planned on going because the weather had shown rain, but the weather reports seemed to be getting better, so they decided to take a chance...the weather looks beautiful on their drive up...

They even got a little fishing in....

And then around midnight the snow started to fall....and didn't stop falling...and Rick's air mattress deflated 3 times...here's the Bishop and his son checking out all the snow...

Jacob...freezing!!

Trying to warm up...

They had a slippery drive home...

I felt so bad when they came home and said that it had snowed because I had packed them all up without any snow gear like beanies, gloves, etc. The dang weather never once mentioned that it might snow! Rick only had his sleeping bag and no blanket. They were definitely not prepared for the extreme cold...so glad that they survived!

On Friday, I had to get Ashlyn out the door by 5:30 so that she could make it to school for her field trip to the Grand Canyon! She had a great day exploring, hiking about a mile down into the canyon and having lots of fun with friends!
She finally made it home around 11:40 that night, whew! That was a long day!
On Wednesday with my Activity day girls we made mothers day gifts, sugar scrub and a yarn flower and a mothers day questionnaire.
Abby and her little daycare friend Darwyn are really big Minnie Mouse fans and so when Darwyn showed up in her Minnie Mouse dress, Abby had to wear hers too:) So cute!
I finally finished the table, I love it! That was a long labor of love for sure!
I've been searching for information on my Fathers Uncle, James Sydney Hahn. He was an amazing Navy pilot that even had an island named after him but for some reason I couldn't find any information on him to add to Family Search. It turns out it was because we had his birthdate wrong. It was so exciting to find his grave marked at the Arlington National Cemetery.
