The weather has been so nice lately that my daycare kids have been spending more time outside! Yea! They love climbing this structure and apparently sending their shoes down the slide! You can kind of see our new tangerine tree that we just planted on the right side of the pic...it's already bearing fruit! We are so excited!
Abby's hair was getting crazy so I gave her a little bob. She looks so cute!!
We had our annual ward halloween party on Saturday night. Abby was a pumpkin, Jacob was a police officer and Ashlyn was a rockstar:) It was a fun night!
Standing with our annual pumpkin man...
The train ride is always the best part!
Haley was face painting with the other beehives for their booth, she gave Abby a little heart.
This week we had parent teacher conferences for Ashlyn and Jacob. Last year was a rough year for Jacob and he really struggled, by the end of the year I was ready to do an IEP on him, but it was too late in the year. I was very apprehensive about his conference, although I had seen marked improvement with him in doing his homework. His teacher showed me his scores and told me how hard he is working and I just sat there and cried. The teacher said that my prayers had been answered and that he was doing great! In fact he is reading at a 3rd grade level! He's still struggling in math, but he's really improved in math as well. I couldn't be happier! Ashlyn is a star student, she really is a born learner and very sensitive about her classmates needs and very caring. Her teacher said that if she could have a classroom full of Ashlyn's it would be the perfect class! That melted my heart! Haley got straight A's and decided that school wasn't challenging enough, so she opted to move into a History AP class! Where did these kids come from? I struggled throughout school! I'm so happy that they're progressing well in their learning and I'm grateful for the teachers that they have that have really shown a lot of empathy and taken time to help them to learn and grow! My heart is full this week!
