Week in Review...3.17.19

This last week was spring break for our kids, so we got to sleep in and hangout at the park and play with friends and cousins. Ashlyn made egg rolls with a group of girls on Tuesday, and sold them to make money for girls camp. They were delicious!

Haley took Abby and Ashlyn on a hike at Falcon Hill park one day while I was working...

Rick took Jacob out kayaking last weekend, they had a good time and Jacob is getting better at paddling in the water.

Ashlyn enjoying the fruit of her labors...

Abby had a playdate with her friend Holly and they made cookies together...
Carrie and I had a playdate at the park. It was a beautiful sunny day...

Ashlyn played games with Emilie down the street...
Ashlyn and Abby were twinning, Abby has been getting more and more brave. She ran down to Emilies house all by herself to go play with Ash and Emilie and the twins. Now she asks everyday if she can go and play, that a major win for her!!
Found a pic of Haley that reminded me of a picture of me....

We got together last Sunday to celebrate Carrie's birthday, it was another beautiful day at the park...

Lilly liked the chocolate frosting!

Yesterday we went swimming at Carrie's apt complex, the spa was warm but the pool was cold. The kids went in anyway!! Crazy kids!

Then Abby woke up today saying her ear hurt again, and threw up twice. Took her urgent care and she has swimmers ear, so we'll need to figure that out before swim season comes. We have received so many anonymous gifts cards from people in different states, gift cards and money from family members. We feel so blessed to be so loved and supported by friends and family.

Week in Review...March 10, 2019

Riding on the electric scooter that our neighbors have...Jacob and Abby...

Abby and neighbor Jacob...

On Thursday I got to go on the Farm field trip with Abby's class, we had lots of fun. Abby loved every second of it!
My friend Misty, who is another aide at the school got to go with her daughter as well...
So excited for her first ride on a school bus....

We went to this farm last year with her preschool group and she had a hard time participating. She refused to go on the slide or the jumping pads, but this year she wanted to do everything! I was so happy to see that exciting change, where she wasn't scared to have fun!

Abby's class with their teacher Mrs. Pena...

Then that night we ended up at Urgent Care for an ear infection and croup....ugh!

Me and Mrs. Pena, on the train ride...
Right before we left...
Today Ashlyn spoke in Sacrament about how reading the scriptures can bring us closer to Christ. She did a great job, didn't need any help from me. It's great to see my kids growing in the gospel.

Week in Review...03-3-2019

Last Sunday Jacob spent a few hours on Facetime with his cousin Cameron, they were playing roblox together. It was cute.
Rick took the kids on a walk...

And he got to go kayaking...
And he took Ashlyn and Jacob to the temple to do baptisms! It was Jacobs first time and he loved it! They each took 5 family names to the temple.

Abbys aide took this pic of her, she actually raised her hand twice this week to present to the class. She has never volunteered to participate in class before! You can tell she's super nervous, but she did it! Her teacher feels really strongly that she would benefit from another year in Kindergarten. So she asked Abby if it would be alright to spend another year with her and Abby told her that she wants to go to first grade. So she explained to Abby that she needs to start participating in class and doing her work all by herself. She worked so hard this week to accomplish those tasks. I'm ultra proud of her for being so brave this week!
Last Monday we went over to our neighbors house to visit his birthday. Cute friends...
Last night Ashlyn woke up in the middle of the night with a high fever, so Rick took her into urgent care and she has the flu. Poor girl!! She's miserable and hasn't been this sick in a long time. Poor girl, hopefully she will kick it fast.
I was able to hold a teacher training today for my primary teachers. It was really cool to get that opportunity to talk with my teachers and see what's working well and what we can help with. I love being in the primary.

Carrie and Zach took Abby along with their kids to the Home Depot kids workshop. They made these adorable clocks! So cute!
