Old Pictures for Rick

Ricks mother sent us a ton of pictures that they transferred over from slides. It was fun looking through them and seeing what a cute kid Rick was!

This is the cutest picture!!
Rick with his grandmother Lola Bailey, she passed away when he was around 8 years old. It was very memorable for him because the whole family was having a reunion together at her house when she had a brain aneurism and passed away. So sad!!

Here's Rick with his Grandpa Bailey.

Week in Review...

Abby came down with Hand Foot and Mouth disease last week, so she stayed at home with Rick during church. She was wanting to be in our backyard the whole time he said, she's just a cutie.
She also insisted on wearing his flip flops.
Christmas Eve and Snowflake were found sitting on top of the gingerbread house, silly elves!
Our ward took this pic of us back at the Halloween Carnival, I thought it turned out cute. You can tell that Ashlyn is ready to get playing the games!
Last night we went to the Mesa Temple to look at the lights, here are the camels being led by the wise men...
We weren't able to stay long because it started raining and I didn't want anyone to get sick. Then as we were driving home I couldn't stop sneezing and had a runny nose! Crazy, it was just a little drizzle but we are not used to being out in the rain!

Yesterday morning we had our ward Christmas party, I participated in the Relief Society's talent, we sang the Reindeer Rap, it was pretty funny!

Haley sang with the Young Womens...
Ashlyn and Jacob sang with the primary...

Coloring at our table, we had a pancake breakfast.
On Tuesday night Haley had her orchestra concert, she did great! She was first chair!
On Wednesday we had Activity days and we made these cute nativity ornaments...
It was a good week! Abby started babbling this week, it is hilarious!

Week in Review..

On Tuesday Haley participated in her schools spelling bee. She made it to the final round and ended up placing 5th! She did great! She beat out almost all of the 8th graders, there was only one left and she was the one that won! Haley went out with the word counterfeit, she spelled it counterfit and immediately knew that she had it wrong, dang! The only thing I don't like about spelling bees is that they don't tell you how to spell the word RIGHT if you get it wrong, they just ding a bell and you're left wondering how you spelled it wrong. She totally relived my dream of being in a spelling bee ever since the 5th grade when I was in my spelling bee and went out in the first round because I got cocky and spelled FLAG, FALG and when they dinged the buzzer I was like what??!! How could I spell Flag wrong?? So she redeemed me and will have to try again next year to win it all!! haha!

All Jacob wants for Christmas is his two front teeth! He lost both two front teeth this last week! Apparently he had a big tooth already growing in right behind the baby tooth because he doesn't look as toothless as I thought he would:)
We received two visitors from the North Pole this week, their names are Christmas Eve and Snowflake. Everyday is like Christmas for Ashlyn and Jacob, waking up to try and find the elves and what mischief that they got into during the night. Last night they spilled jingle bells all over the table and were hiding up high on a shelf.
Jacob was so cute and drew this Elf for his Christmas Eve Elf. Complete with little boots and a cute hat!
