Ashlyn's Graduation!

It was a big week for our Baby Ashlyn! We may have to stop calling her that, or maybe not! She'll always be my baby. Well, Ashlyn graduated from Red Mountain High School on Thursday night. She received a presidential scholarship to Mesa Community College and will start there in the fall. We are excited to see where life takes her, but we are so proud of her accomplishments!!

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson came, so we went kayaking on Friday, it was a beautiful day at the lake...
Haley's been in Las Vegas, helping to care for and say goodbye to Kevin's grandmother...
Seminary graduation last Sunday...
One of Ashlyn's drawings...

Flowers for Ashlyn graduating...we had her favorite lasagna for dinner and texas sheet cake for dessert. Then I went to go and save seats at the stadium, which ended up being a pretty traumatic event as I got kicked out of my saved seats by a family who decided they wanted to sit where I was sitting. But it ended up being a blessing because we ended up sitting in real seats instead of just bleacher benches..

Our ward and family has been so generous to Ashlyn...

We said goodbye to my mentor and Abby's special ed teacher, who is leaving to become a coach. Luckily, she'll be my coach so we'll still get to see her!

It's always hard to say goodbye to my students on the last day, but knowing that I'll get to see them next year always helps...

These are the seats that I was saving....and my back was aching from saving them for an hour. So I left when the family came and took over my seats, and I found better ones. It's called karma people!

There's my Ash!!

The moon was showing off....

Emilie came to watch Ashlyn graduate...

Excuse my crazy hair, I'd been wearing a hat because it was so hot and sunny and I had major hat hair...

This has been my team for the last few years, and next year will look quite different as most of them are leaving or retiring. It will be OK, change is good too is what I keep telling myself.
Lake days are my favorite...Ash and Abby swimming together...

Emma and Ashlyn at seminary graduation...

Emma, Ashlyn, Macey and Molly...

Ben, Emma and Ashlyn...

Ben, Bishop Lee, Ashlyn and Emma....Bishop Lee just got released so he knows the youth really well...

It was a great week and now we are sending Ashlyn and Jacob off to youth conference. They get to go to Durango Colorado and have lots of fun adventures river rafting, hot springs, rock climbing and rope obstacle courses. I'm so jealous! They'll have the best time!
