We have had a busy few weeks since school got out. The day after school ended, I drove the kids up to Utah to see Kim and family, then Idaho to see Rick's sister Becca and family, pick up Haley and then we drove over to Boise to see Carrie and family and then we spent a few days in Woodland, WA with my parents. Then I drove home in 2 days, which is not advisable for my next trip. We loved all of our time spent with family, it was well worth the drive. We spent the next week getting ready for Ashlyn and jacob to go to FSY at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher. They had an amazing week. Jacob was able to room with a friend from school Conner, and Ashlyn was so brave and went up without a roommate. She was paired with a great girl named Jada and they had so much fun together. I was really proud of them for both getting out of their comfort zones and enjoying the week.
Here's Ashlyn with Jada...
The day after school got out I had to work, but Abby got to go to the lake with friends. She came home super sunburned, but she had a great time!
I went on lots of hikes with my dad while we were in Woodland, they live on a mountain so all of the hikes were uphill. What a view!
Last Sunday we found a leak under our dishwasher, so our whole kitchen has been ripped up and we are waiting for the next steps...
I bought this cute little couch off of Amazon and assembled it myself!
Abby hiking with her cousins, they had so much fun together!
I loved being able to feed and hold baby Madelyne, she's the cutest!!
Haley enjoyed the walks too...
We went for a walk when we got to Utah, it was a beautiful night!
Found a cute old pic of Ashlyn...
Abby painted this at school...
Our first stop in Kanab, Utah so pretty! We packed all of our lunches and only ate out twice! All of our money went to gas!
We visited lots of parks, so fun!
Abby loved Charlie, he's so cute!
Becca shared the letters that we had written to her when she was a missionary, they were so cute! Haley even wrote in some of them...
We stopped by to see Sarah's house even though they were on their way to Washington to spend time with us!
Jacob got to be in the graduation ceremony for Red mountain high school...
We discovered a love of playing crossnet!
Sarah cut Abby's hair and mine, she did a great job!!
We have been having some really mild nights, so we have been getting out to play! It's been so nice!
One of my students was in a play, so I got to go see him perform it was really cute!
I found some old journal writings...
Here's my new classroom, I've spent this last week painting. I'll show more pics when I'm done...
I loaded our old couch into the truck by myself, yes that was a feat! It was really uncomfortable and all of the springs were broken. It was time for it to go...
While i was painting my old co-worked happened to be in the building returning her keys! I'm going to miss working with her, she was so kind to Abby and me.
We were so glad to get a temp sink put in! Now we have a working kitchen!
Abby and I have been swimming everyday, she loves her mom time!
Happy Father's Day to my husband and dad and father-in-law, 3 men that I love and admire!
While we were gone road-tripping, Rick took a day trip up north to go kayak. He had fun!
He also made some ribs to enjoy and re-did our fence!
This is the old fence...Starting the new one...
He also went dirt biking...
Ashlyns FSY massive dorm room...
Maxine got to meet Kirby Heybourne!
It was a crazy few weeks, but we are happy to be home and now just hoping our kitchen will get put back together soon!
