Jacobs birthday and payson

We celebrated Jacobs birthday on the 29th, can't believe that he is 15!

He got a Red Mountain High School hat, some clothes, candy and the day after his birthday he got an electric skateboard! He's a lucky boy!

Jacob is in JROTC, on Wednesdays they have to dress in full gear and march around the campus. Unfortunately it was extra hot on Wednesday, so it was tough! He's really enjoying it though!

I've been using a ton of velcro in my class, making schedules everyday. I heard a rumor that if you emailed the velcro company that they would send you a box of velcro for free! So I tried it, I emailed Velcro and said that I was a teacher and using velcro everyday and could I get a teacher box? A few weeks later I got an email saying that they didn't do that anymore, I was so bummed. But then about 10 minutes later I got another email that my teacher box had shipped! I guess they decided that I was an exception? I was so excited to get this big box of supplies!! I'll put all of this to good use!

On Friday we decided to book a hotel for Saturday night up in Payson because we needed to escape the heat for a bit. On Saturday we drove up and the weather was beautiful! 80's with a nice breeze! We took a stop at a lake called Woods Canyon and it was so pretty! Rick and Ashlyn went kayaking and Jacob, Abby and I watched from the shore. It was so nice to just sit outside and enjoy the weather. 

Then we went to our favorite park to walk around and just enjoy being outside...

It was fun to get away for a bit, now we are back in the heat and hoping that winter comes soon!
