Abby went way out of her comfort zone yesterday and participated in a baseball clinic! I had Rick take her, thinking that she might do better with him. She was super nervous and wanted to turn around and go home as they were driving up, but eventually, he was able to coax her into participating. She had a blast once she got started!

Rick tried to get as far as he could from her, but not too far.

One of the kindergartners in our school has a dad who was on the show Survivor. I'm a huge fan of the show, so when she showed up wearing a survivor buff to school I had to get a pic!

On Tuesday I was able to have an IEP meeting for Abby, she qualified to receive special education services under emotional behavior. She will receive small group instruction in math, reading, writing, and emotional support. She had a 1 on 1 meeting with the Special education teacher on Thursday and at first, she was really nervous but in the end, she was telling her teacher all about gymnastics and gave her a big hug! She will start services tomorrow and will go every day for at least 30 minutes. I'm hoping that she will receive the help she needs and be able to phase out of the system within 3 years. That is the goal! I'm just so glad that she will be receiving emotional help because I've felt very helpless recently in seeing her anxiety skyrocket with all of the changes happening in our family. This is a great thing for her!
