Week in Review...February 24, 2019

Abby and Ashlyn went for a walk last weekend and these pictures are so cute...

Haley with her friends...
We got snow on the mountains surrounding us, it's so beautiful! We have loved having this cold, wintery weather.

Abby and I made all of this jewelry last Sunday.

A good friend dropped off these cupcakes for me and hidden in the card was $, so sweet. We have been well supported in this time.
We fasted for Rick today, and have really felt the love from our family. Rick was able to do some part time work this week replacing windshields and that was great for him to get out and be productive. Abby went in front of the primary with her class today and did a little song that was really cool to see!

Ashlyn and Jacob babysat the Paul's last night, and they had lots of fun. She took this cute picture of a hummingbird.

Abby was twinning with her friend Holly today, so cute! Just the fact that she let me take her picture, was a huge win!

Week in Review...

Carrie made me this cute Heart wreath and dropped off my favorite candy, which is peanut M&M's!! So sweet!
I worked the Shelley Bee dress business for 9 hours on Saturday...it was pretty chaotic in the front room...
These are all of the bags that need to be shipped out tomorrow!
Last Sunday we had the amazing privledge of joining 60000 other members in seeing the Prophet and his wife and President Oaks and his wife speak at the State Farm Arena where the Cardinals play. It was an amazing experience. In total it took about 5 hours to travel 45 miles to and from because of the amount of people that went. It was worth it though!

Some beans growing in our garden..
Oranges are ready!

Jacob got glasses last week!

Can you spot Carrie and Zach's family?
Jacob went to Science Camp this week, he had a great time. It was raining and snowing while he was there. He loved it but couldn't quite get his feet to warm up. He's also been sleeping a lot since he got home.

Our sweet neighbor invited the kids over to decorate Valentine's cookies. So sweet!
Abby even joined in the fun!
Abby at her class party, I was working the recess shift so I didn't make it. My friend took these...

She was my Valentine for Valentine's Day. She picked out this shirt without even knowing it was Valentine's day. What a fun coincidence!
My silly, goofy girl!
I took Abby to the dr this week because we have seen a huge relapse in her anxiety. It's terrifying to be a mom and not know how to help my child. I thought I was doing everything I could do to help her, but she's still regressing. The dr wants to send us off to a psychiatrist and a psychologist to help her. I'm not quite sure what we're going to do. On Friday, I had a sub job at Ethan's preschool and was prepping her that I wouldn't be at school on Friday. She woke up super early on Friday saying her belly hurt, and then she threw up. As soon as she found out that she could stay at home with Daddy she was completely fine. Rick took her to the Dr and yup, it was her anxiety. So she's now throwing up if it gets really bad. Not fun at all.
When we were driving home from church today, we got a flat tire. Sometimes when it rains, it pours. We had the whole Elders Quorum presidency over after church to give Rick a blessing. It was a beautiful blessing and they gave him some job hunting tips. This week was a tough week, but we will get through.

Here are my notes from the Prophet's visit last Sunday---

Sister Oaks-Jeffery R. Holland-why is it so hard?? He said-I am convinced salvation is not easy, why would we believe it would be easy for us? When it was never, ever easy for him. You must be prepared to walk part of the path he walked. Salvation is not a cheap experience.

President Oaks-4th article of faith-faith in the lord Jesus Christ. Trust in the lords will and in his timing. The strength of the church comes from the strength of its members, we are the rising generation. Last 2 conferences were unusually significant. Change is exciting. The changes that make a difference on our covenant path come from our own desires and actions. Spending time in the temple will change your life. It is time for a home centered church. Now it is up to us. We are blessed to have continuing revelation. Book of Mormon challenge was extended to the woman of the church. Pray to understand your spiritual gifts. Stand out and be different. Refer to the church by its correct name. Limit your dependence on cell phones. Tattoo and piercings are still graffiti on your holy temple. Cell phones should be your slaves, not your masters. Cut back on texting. Talk face to face.

Wendy Nelson- would love to speak with each of us individually to see what they could do to help us all feel loved. If we humble ourselves, we can feel gods love. Where can I turn for peace was a song that she thought of when her husband knew he would be the prophet, but she wanted to sing, where can I run? She felt like Jonah. Yet, she did feel peace when she attended the solemn assembly. Nighttime messages to her husband have become quite frequent, sometimes she stays quite close while he receives revelation. Sometimes he will slip away into their closet. One night she was prompted to leave the bedroom, for 2 hours. The lord was giving the prophet detailed inspiration. She is a witness by being present and by being absent.

Prophet— Abrahamic covenant- savior of the world would come through Abraham’s lineage. God gives his faithful children the miracles they need, to further gods work upon the earth. Abraham was promised an eternal increase as innumerable as the stars. This promise is yours also- to Joseph Smith because he is part of Abraham’s lineage. The seed of Abraham would bear the priesthood of god. This power would lift those who are suffering. We can rejoice that as we remain faithful we can be with our eternal family for all time. Be covenant keepers. We are of Abraham, children of the covenant. All the nations of the earth will be blessed by his lineage. The Book of Mormon is a tangible sign to the people that the commencement of the gathering of Israel has begun. It is gods instrument to bring it about. Without it, there would be no gathering of Israel. The Book of Mormon leads us to the temple, it is a gift from god to all the world. Written by ancient prophets. Two main topics are mentioned over and over again, Jesus Christ and the gathering of Israel. Jesus Christ is the savior of the world, is the overall theme of the Book of Mormon.

Arizona needs to help gather Israel on both sides of the veil. Pray with intentions to help gather Israel. As you create a Christ centered home, that’s gathering Israel. As you repent and help others to repent, that is gathering Israel. He lives, Jesus is the Christ. This is his church.
