Week in Review...July 29, 2018

This week was a tough one for our family! Late on Tuesday night we got a phone call that our sweet neighbor Jacob, 8 years old had a brain tumor. We went to visit him on Wednesday and on Thursday he had surgery. It turned out to be a fluid filled mass, and they were able to operate and remove all of it. Jacob is now home recovering. Ricks niece Kaylee is waking up from an unexplained coma, having severe headaches and is unable to open her eyes without pain. We are praying that they will figure out what is wrong with her. Sweet Jacob is on the left, and his brother Caleb is on the right...
This is Jacob right after surgery, he has since swollen up on his right side, but they're hoping the fluid will drain correctly...
My nephew Mathias and his mom Lindsay got to film a segment on the show, The Doctors. It will air in September, how exciting! They talked about the VR Simulation that Mathias was able to do on his brain before his last surgery.

Carrie invited us to the splash pad this week, we had fun and brought along Caleb and Emilie who are Jacob's siblings so they could be distracted while Jacob was having surgery..

Abby is obsessed with her new shoes she got from Grandma and Grandpa Hahn...
We went to Rhodes pool to ride the Flo-rider and it was closed. So we just swam in the pool and played at the splash pad...

I hope this week is a more calm week:)

Week in Review...July 22-2018

Kids playing with the pipe cleaners that I brought for the sunbeams to fiddle with during sharing time...
Going for a walk last Sunday and Abby wanted to ride her new bike...

Abby turned 5 on Wednesday. It was a very special day! She had a friends party from 9-11, she invited Lexi Alexander, Holly Burnett, Samantha Black and Madelyn. They water color painted, played with play doh, painted purses, ate cupcakes, danced to Just Dance Kids and played with puzzles, all of Abby's favorite things. Jacob even made a pinata and a fishing game for the kids to play...

She really wanted pink shoes! This is her happy smile, haha! She got a new birthday outfit to go with the shoes for Kindergarten...

Princess cake for my baby girl...
Ashlyn made her a crown..
Ashlyn also gave her this little guitar, she was great with the gifts this year...

Then we topped off the night by going swimming with Carrie's family...she had a great day! Thanks for all of the presents, calls and texts...

On Friday we headed up to Payson for some cooler weather, we hit up our favorite park and Jacob was excited to try out the skate park. It was a little scarier than he had thought it would be...

Ashlyn volleyball team won the championship! #1 great job Ashlyn

They also finished their swim team season, Ashlyn and Jacob swam great! Haley even went a few times, haha!

Abby got this microphone from her friend Lexi and she loves to sing on it...

Love my baby girl!

I got a job!! I'm going to be the new Resource Specialist at a school down the street called SHARP. It's a k-12 school for behavior or autistic kids. I'll be in charge of the library, for 10 hours a week and then an aide at Zaharis filling in where they need me. I think this will be a challenging position, but it will be fun. It's a great way to get into the system and hopefully get more hours down the road. It's a great resume builder. The principal gave me 3 hugs when I accepted the position, so I think I will fit right in:)

Haley and Ashlyn got to go on the Young Men/Young Women boating trip on Saturday. They had a blast and came home sun burned and sore. Haley even got up on the wake board!
