Week in Review....June 24, 2018

Last week was Father's Day and this is how daddy got to open his presents:) Always a fun time with Abby!

Haley got her braces on her top teeth on Monday! Doesn't she look like a baby?! So crazy!
We went swimming with friends...

Abby and Lexi....

We got to go see Incredible 2 for free! Our pediatric dentist rented a room at the theater! We loved it!
Tuesday Haley left for camp and on Wednesday Ashlyn left for camp, her first year and Haley's 5th year!

They had a great time, except for Haley being in pain with her braces. Poor girl!
On Saturday morning we went to a birthday party at a splash pad, Jacob and Abby had lots of fun...
Rick and I went out on a date to In n Out...
All of our wards girls at Camp! They had a great time, came home super tired but Ashlyn talked for 2 hours straight about all of the fun times she had. Haley was asked to talk in Sacrament (second week in a row) about her spiritual experience at Camp, she did a great job!

Week in Review...June 17, 2018

I found this old photo of Haley and Ashlyn, I think Ashlyn looks so much like a little Austin!
We went swimming at Fremont this week, our favorite pool down the street...

Ashlyn, Emilie and Maddie...

Ashlyn going off the high dive...
We went to Cold Stone one night...

Playing in the kiddie pool with Carrie and the babies...
We got this big hippo at Costco to play with in the water, the kids love it!

Our favorite twins down the street got baptized yesterday, I used to watch them when they were 3 months old. They're so cute!! Jacob and Caleb Weidman
They had a very nice luncheon after, this is Ashlyn's good friend Emma and her mom Kyoko, who is Ashlyn's volleyball coach.
Jacob is constantly making things, like constantly! He is always crafting and making new things. This is his latest-marble game! The pic is dark, but he created a maze for the marble to run down at the bottom after going through the cups. If this kid doesn't become an engineer of some sort, I will be shocked!

Rick and I at the luncheon...
Tyson, Kai and Jacob being cookie monsters!

Happy Fathers Day to my sweet father! This guy will do anything for someone in need! If he hears of a need, he finds a way to fill that need. I just love him so much! He really is the best dad out there!
Happy Fathers Day to my sweet husband! He is such a good daddy, and husband to me! We have been so blessed by him and his hard working, fun personality. Love you Rick!

Happy Father's Day to my father in law, he's a pretty goofy guy! We love him!

Week in Review...

Last Sunday we cut up our Primary Bishopric counselors tie to encourage the kids to sing:) He was a good sport!

Here he is with his son, who was deciding where to cut it...

Haley recovered very nicely from her wisdom teeth extraction, what a champ! Here she is on Monday-three days after her surgery heading out to her first day of work! She did great!
We have been going non stop since summer started-here's little miss sleeping beauty all tired out from our many trips....
We left for San Diego on Friday and immediately hit the beach, where we boogie boarded....
played in the sand...

Beautiful day at the beach...

We then went into the hot tub at the hotel, we had to leave Haley home because she had to work...
Ashlyns favorite part of the beach is boogie boarding...
Abby's is the sand, and Jacob's is the sand too..

Before we left Rick made this soccer goal, pretty good!
This was taken on Friday night, I was exhausted from the drive and the day at the beach, but I was happy!
Saturday morning we got up and went to look at the Seals at La Jolla Cove. We were pretty tired because Abby kept getting out of her play pen all night, she was so confused everytime she woke up. What a beautiful place to wake up to!

It was so beautifully sunny...

Look at all of those seals...

Then we headed over to Imperial Beach for more boogie boarding, which Rick and Ashlyn were able to do for a fun minutes and then I saw Rick limping out of the water and Ashlyn looking super worried. I rushed out to the water to help him to our chair and he said that something had stung him. I lifted his foot and saw a cut and blood coming out of it. I had Ashlyn run over to the lifeguard station and the lifeguard radioed their headquarters for Rick to be transported to their nurses station. He had been stung by a sting ray! 45 min of a foot bath in 105*water neutralized the venom but he was still in a fair bit of pain. So we decided to head home. It was a quick trip, but we had a great time. Rick is now recovering at home and planning our next excursion to San Diego, this time wearing some kind of foot protection! We have also been told to do the sting ray shuffle, to scare them off. Overall it was a great trip.
