Week in Review...

Last Sunday we had dinner with the Pauls at the park. Carrie made a yummy pulled pork! After dinner we checked out the park, Carrie had lots of fun:)

On Monday we went on a hike up to the Saddle of the Superstition Springs Mountain, it was a beautiful cold day. We loved it! The whole time Haley kept saying, we can't stop until we are on the mountain. I had to remind her each time, look around you, look how far we've come! We were on the mountain the whole time, but she felt like she wasn't on the mountain until we reached a certain point. It's so important to stay focused on where we are going, but also to realize how far we have come, enjoy the journey along the way and realize the accomplishments that we have made. When we reached where she wanted to go, we could see the whole valley, huh-we must've been on the mountain the whole time!

Abby loves playing with these magnet tiles, they get used every day and lots of different towers, homes, cars and trains are made. Love her imagination.
On Wednesday we had New Beginnings, Haley just got called as the Laurels President so she was in charge of conducting and played the piano for the Closing song. I also spoke about the strength that Personal Progress can have within our family. Ricks mom was in town, so we invited her and Rick's brother Rob's wife and step-daughter Christina.

Kim found this picture of Bryan's blessing day at Ronny's old home in Twin Falls, Idaho...Haley is sitting up front and I was pregnant with Ashlyn...
Since Rick's mom was in town and her birthday is next Tuesday we had a little pre-celebration at the new Pioneer Park in Mesa. Beautiful night for a picnic..

It was pretty cold, but of course the kids wanted to run through the splash pad! Crazy kids!

I had two sweatshirts on, it was so cold!!

Week in Review...

I believe this was the day before Mathias was released to go home, he had a meal with the family. He was released to go home on Monday night, hallelujah! So happy for his quick recovery and that he is able to rest at home now...
Carrie and I walked to Red Mountain this week and the kids played for a bit, it was a cold and windy day and I loved it!
Ashlyn had her Science fair this week, she studied how high different balls bounced. Her prediction was that the golf ball would bounce the highest, but the volleyball actually bounced higher. Weird!

Jacob had his County Float parade on the same day as Valentines day and Arizona's 106th birthday. Here is his teacher Miss Brown all dressed up in Arizona's colors and waving an Arizona flag, she is too cute!
Jacob with his county float, he was thrilled!

I love this picture that Abby drew on her Valentines Bag, she said it was daddy! hahahaha!
Here she is with a her George Washington hat and beard, so cute!
Ashlyn played really well at her Volleyball game, she is getting really good at serving!

On Valentine's Day our neighbor had a sugar cookie decorating party and it rained! Perfect day!

Week in Review...

It was a big week for Mathias, on Monday he went in to have the rest of his tumor taken out and his skull cap put on. 18 hours later they were able to get most of the tumor out and his skull cap placed back on and is recovering really well. We are so happy for this miraculous recovery that he has made. Grandma Hahn and Mathias giving the thumbs up!
Abby is getting really good at the monkey bars, she just loves them!
 She's our monkey for sure...
Lindsay and Grandma Hahn having dinner while visiting with Mathias at the hospital...
Grandpa Hahn and Mathias giving the thumbs up! My dad told Mathias that when he sees him for the first time after the surgery he wanted him to say Mustang, so when Mathias saw him he said, Hi Grandpa Mustang! so cute!!

Ashlyn was in her 6th grade Greek play, she had to try out and got in! She was in the scene where they introduced Medusa and how her myth played out. She did a great job and she had lots of fun being in it...

My new visiting teacher just happens to be a professional makeup artist, so as her service to me this month she taught me how to apply makeup! I learned a lot from her and I just hope that I can replicate it, she had me do 1/2 of my face, but I think it will take lots of practice...
Ashlyn had a volleyball game on Saturday, and they didn't win but they played really well. Lots of volleying and giving the other team a run for their money!

We went to Top Golf on Saturday and the kids just loved it!

  Better picture of our van..
Rick got to go kayaking on Saturday, it had been awhile and he missed it!
I realize my swing is really off in this pic, but it's been too long since I had lessons in High School:) hahaha!

Abby loved dancing to the music the best...
