Week in Review...

I saw this pillow on Facebook and thought it would be fun to the girls. I didn't realize that Abby would completely love it and spend hours playing with it! It really is so fun and relaxing.

Rick had Wednesday off since he had to work on Saturday this week, so he took Jacob kayaking.
If you look closely you can see a hawk on the rock with its wings outstretched. That's pretty cool!

The residents made these cute treats for the fathers that work at Courtyard Towers.

On Tuesday we went and saw Darwyn and swam in her new community pool. It was freezing!! They have the whole pool shaded, which is nice to be out of the sun but it also keeps the pool super cold. We only lasted a few minutes and then we switched over to the splash pad.
Ashlyn started volleyball a few weeks ago and loves it!

I went to check on Abby last night after putting her to bed and I found her snuggled up with her baby doll! It just melted my heart!! She just loves her baby dolls!
Today is Fathers Day and it's been a rough one! Yesterday Rick was at work and went to go potty in urinal and housekeeping had thrown a cleaning agent into the urinal and not wiped it down. So when Rick went potty, it activated the powder and was thrown into his face. He had a really bad sore throat yesterday and it kept getting worse. He had trouble breathing through the night, so I took him into the ER this morning. The ER said that there isn't much they can do for inhalation, it just has to heal on its own and it can take a week or more. They gave him a breathing treatment and a pain med and sent him home. He still has a lot of pain in his lungs, but hopefully it will ease up soon. Then I had to teach RS and I was really flustered and emotional, but I got a lot of compliments and people said that they could feel the spirit, so hopefully I did OK. Even with a rough start, we tried to spoil Rick. He got a huge cut in one of his kayaks, so we got him a new one for Fathers Day! Such a lucky guy! He also got ribs and mashed potatoes for dinner, and cute cards from the kids...we sure love him!
And of course my amazing daddy-o! What would I do without this guy? He is my biggest supporter and has the best laugh around! I just love that he is my dad, he is a spiritual giant and an amazing public speaker. I could listen to his stories all day. I'm grateful to be his daughter! Happy Fathers Day!
