Last Saturday we took a drive up to Payson which is about an hour and a half away to get away from the heat. It was beautiful! It was in the 80's and breezy which felt so nice! We grabbed lunch at KFC and found a cool park that the kids could run around. It was wonderful to get away for a few hours and enjoy the outdoors.
Jacob and Rick made this shark out of soap for Scouts. Pretty cute!
Rick forgot his glasses I guess on his last kayaking trip, so he found mine in my car....pretty funny!!
Pinewood Derby was yesterday and Jacob had a good time. He came in right in the middle of the pack, which was way better than last year! His car was called the redneck truck because it was red and they made it into a truck:)
This is Jacobs classroom, his teacher built this treehouse! You can just barely see Jacob and Abby with their heads over the sides looking down...
This is right outside of Jacobs classroom, all of the kids in a car. So cute!
Abby loves to play with Griffin inside the playpen, she's figuring out how to get in and out of it and to sit on the side of it! Such a big girl, makes me nervous!
KFC in payson....
Abby loves this bathing suit because it has a little tutu skirt on it....she wears it almost everyday.
Rick had his first day of work on Tuesday! He was so excited and nervous! He loves it! He comes home with funny and interesting stories everyday! His first day they were touring the Memory Care floor and this little old lady kept following them, then when they went to get into the elevator she made a mad dash trying to get into the elevator and escape! The next day he took an old man who was 97 on a tour, he was a hydraulic engineer and invented the hydraulic arm that is now on garbage trucks! Pretty cool, everyday is different and that's what he loves the most! It is so nice actually seeing him happy and excited to go to work! What a difference!
Jacob sent Grandma Johnson a little mini me from school because we knew she was going on a few trips. Here she is with mini Jacob at a wharf..
We finally transitioned Abby from her crib to a big girl bed, she is my only child to never climb out of her crib! She probably could've kept sleeping in it for awhile more but she was becoming more and more interested in the big girl bed so I thought we should probably give it a try since she is 3 now:). She's done really well, my best transition yet! She only got out her first night and played with Ash and Jacob for a few hours! haha! After that first night we employed some bribery to keep her in her room and it has worked so far. We gave away the crib, so we are almost out of the baby stage, so sad!
Such a big girl now...
She is also obsessed with Frozen, she asks to watch it everyday! She has a lot of it memorized and it is absolutely adorable!
I took her to the dentist this week for a follow up visit, we are keeping a close eye on her teeth. She needs lots of work done, but we're trying to hold off as long as possible so that we can hopefully not have to put her to sleep! Fingers crossed that we can keep holding off....this dentist has a log cabin theme with this little log cabin playhouse and a huge teddy bear. She loves the big teddy bear. This is where I brought Jacob when he needed to be put to sleep too and he also loved the big teddy bear.
Last night was the big rivalry game between the University of Utah and BYU, Rick was accepted to the U and his mom went there and he went to BYU-Idaho, so he feels conflicted on who to support. I thought it was hilarious that he was wearing a BYU shirt and a U hat!! Silly Rick!
