Rick took the kids out last week to go to Bass Pro Shops and to the Scout shop and they stopped by Haley's favorite Soda shop called Fiiz. It's run by some members of our church and so it's called the Mormon Bar because it's the local hangout for mormon teenagers. They mix sodas with syrups and whipped cream, etc. I've never been but Haley has raved about it because her YW leaders take her there all the time.
We have had some beautiful days lately and so we've been taking full advantage of getting outside and playing. Abby is all over the playground, here she is trying to climb up the pole...
This is what the kids do when they go to the park....so crazy!
We made bread with the activity day girls for the sacrament.
I got Abby an Anna dress from Frozen for halloween. She is obsessed with Frozen and so she is obsessed with this dress! I got it for $4 at Kohls and it's a little big but she loves it anyway.
Abby loves all things tomato, she's recently discovered ketchup and will literally lick it up...
Abby wanted to go outside and play one day and so I let her and Madeline by daycare kiddo go outside while I finished feeding Griffin. I figured they would be safe for a few minutes while I cleaned him up, well lo and behold not 2 minutes later I heard the water turn on and went to check on them and they were both laughing up a storm because they were soaking wet! They thought it was the most hilarious thing ever! I quickly took a pic and then stripped them down and threw their clothes in the dryer, silly girls!
We got a quick downpour on Friday and so I let the kids go play outside...Abby was in heaven because she obviously loves water....
My friend invited us down to the park on Friday to feed the ducks. It's my light day with daycare and it was gorgeous weather so we quickly headed out the door. Abby loved being outside...
Griffin did too, I think Abby thinks of him as her little baby brother because he's so often at our house. They have a cute relationship, she loves to make him laugh, he's a very easy going baby and just adores Abby. I'm grateful that parents entrust me with the care of their kiddos with me, I have a hard time even taking Abby to nursery and letting her go, so i understand how hard it is.
Rick is loving his new job, we are so grateful for it! He's learning so much about the Assisted Living Facility world and networking and meeting lots of new people. His counterpart who is the Community Outreach guy reminds him of Dad. He's in his mid-sixties and very trim, and everywhere that they go everyone knows him. His name is Steve and everyone knows Steve! He always has such a positive outlook and Rick really enjoys working with him, what a change it is to work in a positive environment! We feel so blessed!!
