Weeks in Review...

Its been a crazy two weeks! A few weeks ago I noticed these really big bumps on my eyebrow that were pretty painless at first, I just couldn't figure out what they were. Over the next few days they became more and more painful, keep you up at night painful. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what they were, so I went into the Minute Clinic and was told that I had a sinus infection but they had no idea what the bumps were. So that was on Saturday and on Monday after not being able to sleep because of the pain I finally went into the dr and they told me that I had shingles. The pain that I had been feeling was nerve pain, ouch!
I made Rick this gluten free cake just because I love him:)
I found Abby reading books the other day, this is my favorite sight in the whole world!!
I also developed bumps on my forehead and nose...
These 3 pics are the progression that they took over the next few days. You can tell that they just look like I've been bruised or have bad acne, or my eye is swollen. It's very hard to tell exactly what they are, unless you have the pain and that's a tell tell sign of what they are, also that they are on one side of my face was a sign too.
Luckily I was able to keep up my daycare operation until the end of the school year minus the baby, they didn't want to chance him getting the chicken pox.
On the last day of school I took them to the park and one of the moms gave us $ to go out to McDonald's for lunch! They loved that!

Here's Abby with Miss Oh, who is soon to be Mrs. Beck! Ashlyn loved every day in Miss Oh's class, Miss Oh was a very sensitive and sweet teacher. She had total command of the classroom and her classmates had respect for her as a teacher. Ashlyn misses being in her class! It was a great 4th grade year for her!
Here is Jacob with his teacher Mrs. Germaine, who was amazing with Jacob! She was so sweet with him and was able to recognize his strengths and help with his weaknesses. We are so blessed that he was chosen to be in her class this year for 2nd grade!
The day after school got out we had planned to go camping as a family but because of my shingles pain, I was going to stay home with Abby and rest. So the family left on Friday and I immediately started feeling really sick, I could hardly get off of the couch because I was so extremely fatigued and nauseous. I let Rick know and he said that they would come home if I needed them, but I thought I would be ok. About an hour later I started throwing up, and an hour after that RICK started getting sick up at camp, so they quickly packed everything up and drove home. This was a huge decision on Ricks part because he was up all night long in the bathroom and wouldn't have been able to drive home. On Saturday Rick and I were in bed, not able to move because of extreme fatigue, nausea and the worst headache I had ever had, luckily we had meals brought in for the kids and they were able to keep Abby entertained. Over the next week all of the kids got it and we are finally all on the mend. It was a rough sickness!

Meanwhile, summer has started! Swimming pools are open and swim team has begun. Here's Abby's happy face to be back in the pool!
 She's little miss hollywood!
She's been wearing this shirt for a week! I've had to kidnap it to wash it! She loves this shirt! Also, in other news she is almost completely potty trained!! We may finally be all done with diapers!!
117 and we are at the pool....summer has begun! One blessing that I received while being sick with the stomach virus was that I didn't have any shingles pain! Prayers are answered!!
