Thanksgiving week in California!

Last night we had the pleasure of watching my oldest brother Ronny and his daughter Brielle perform with their community in Star Valley Wyoming in a Christmas Concert. It was fun for the kids to see their Uncle and cousin on T.V. They're very talented musically as well as Brielle danced!

The Monday before Thanksgiving we hit the road to travel to California! We were so excited!! It was a very long drive, but the kids did great!
We got to spend time with my sister Kelli's family, my brother Randy's family and I got to meet my newest little niece Macey Rae, who is Sarah and Brett's daughter. It was so fun catching up with everyone and spending time with my mom and dad who graciously hosted all 22 of us!
Here is Cameron watching T.V., he and Jacob became fast friends and Ashlyn and Audree did too!
We also got to sneak up to Suisun City to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson and Aunt Kristy and her kids. Kristy's kids love reptiles and they brought their albino corn snake to show everyone. I have a snake phobia, so I steered clear but my kids were more than happy to hold him!

Kristy and Mike recently had their front yard zeroscaped, looks great!

My dad took us for an adventure walk at Sycamore Grove, it was fun to explore some new trails that I have never been on...

My dad looks like my Papa more and more each time I see him!:)

We went to our favorite park to go down the slide...

We also went to Tilden park to ride the train and Carousel up in Berkeley.

Trevor, Audree and Ashlyn playing Mad Gab...
Cute cousins!

Macey Rae is so adorable!

My parents just got new hardwood floors in their bottom level and new couches, everything looks great!

We also played some football at the park on Thanksgiving, Randy kicked the soccer ball the farthest and won that game!

Sarah did Ashlyn and Haley's hair so pretty!

Abby warmed up to Trevor who was so sweet and nice to her!
Sarah, Garron and Brett were showing us the whip and nae nae dance!

We went to the train park in Danville that the kids love, but it was really cold!

We had such a wonderful time in California for thanksgiving. My mom put on a wonderful thanksgiving meal and she was so sweet to be mindful of Rick and his lactose intolerance, it was a great time and we are so thankful that they allowed us to stay with them! Thanks mom and dad!! Love you!

When we got home I found that my bottom freezer drawer wouldn't pull out anymore, I found that it was stuck in ice! I got some hot water and was able to pry it out and discovered an inch of thick ice surrounding the drawer!

Crazy!!
Haley had her orchestra concert this week and did great! She was able to be 1st Chair Viola again!

We  had our Ward Christmas party on Friday night and Rick's primary partner was Santa's helper, he's in his 20's! He bleached his hair and his beard!!

Abby was brave enough to say hi!
Although she clung to Ashlyn when it was time to sit on his lap!

She was pretty happy about the treat that she got though!

Jacob had a Christmas cookie party at our neighbors house and came home with some cute cookies and a prize that he got from Santa who made an appearance!

Some more pics from California...

  1. It was fun seeing your family. Lets not let so many years go by again before seeing each other again.
