Abby was fascinated by the candles!
On Saturday, it was a very busy day! It was Jacobs birthday, but as an Activity day leader I needed to go to the Stake Activity Days event. They did a great event all about being a missionary, it was really cute and the girls had fun.
Jacob made this lego set that he got from his friend, with Rick.
Then Ashlyn went to a birthday party where she got to go ice skating for the first time! She is a great rollerblader and apparently really did a great job ice skating! She had lots of fun!
Then later that night we got to finally celebrate Jacobs birthday. He requested pizza for dinner!
Rick made him a chocolate cake!We are so happy to have Jacob in our family, he makes life fun! He is always singing, talking up a storm and is a very sweet boy. He is very protective of his older sister Ashlyn, if they're fighting like cats and dogs and one of them gets in trouble they always defend each other. They're more like twins than regular siblings, it is cute. Jacob is into electronics, he knows how to run the DVD player, WII and ipad better than I do. He loves to be active, running, jumping, doing somersaults, rollerblading, playing at the park, and anything that doesn't involve sitting down. He is extremely shy at school and I don't think he talks more than a few words in his classroom so when he gets home he could talk for hours! We love our Jacob-bean!
He had a great birthday!
This was found across the street from our house, a huge dead scorpion!
Update on schooling: Jacob and Ashlyn and Haley are all enjoying school this year, they have great teachers. I spoke with Jacobs teachers about the concerns that I have about him and so she's keeping a good eye out for him and reassured me that the concerns that I have about him are normal for his age and that he's working hard and doing great so far at school. Fingers crossed that he is able to keep up and stay on task for the rest of the year. He did an hour of online summer school each weekday during the summer, so hopefully that is what helped him to start out his 2nd grade year on such a good note. He has a really hard time with math and hearing information and then repeating back that information, but he's starting to improve. He would much rather be outside playing than inside learning, but he is so shy that he doesn't want to get into trouble at school, so he stays on task the best that he can.
Happy birthday to you! I remember every year.... :) you look beautiful!
