Week in Review...

On April 26th it was Ricks birthday! Luckily we didn't get sick and everyone started feeling better that had been sick. But on Monday morning Abby started throwing up again and was sick until Wednesday, poor girl! She got it the worst. Rick had ribs for his birthday dinner and we ate the Boston Cream poke cake for dessert.
On May 2nd I took the kids while Rick stayed home with Abby and we went and saw our neighbor and friend in her jr high/high school play. It was a great production and very fun to watch, the talent was exceptional! This is Haley with her friend from down the street Savannah. She was the only 8th grader to make it into the play!

It has been such great weather this week that we have just been soaking it all up! Wonderful crisp and cold breezes make playing at the park so much fun! Abby says "cheeeeese" whenever I tell her I want to take her pic, it is the cutest! She is loving the swings right now.

Such a sweet face!
Too busy playing, to say cheese anymore.

On Saturday morning Rick took Ashlyn and Jacob down to a farm to pick peaches. As soon as they got home I just had to make a peach pie! It was my first time making one and it was so yummy!
Rick also bought me a big bouquet of flowers, so sweet!

Haley came home on Friday saying that she had received the STAAR award. All of the teachers get together and vote on 5 students from each grade level to receive this award at the end of the year. She was one of them! She received a $10 gift card to Target and this certificate, it stands for the Student Academic and Attitude Reward. Apparently she has a great attitude at school!:) She is doing great in Junior High!

I got spoiled like always with all of the gifts that I got for Mothers Day! I was made People's Mother of the Year by Ashlyn, Rick got me a charm necklace, M & M's, flowers, a bike basket and a water bottle holder for my bike, Jacob made me a cute picture and letter and I got lots of cards from all of the kids.

Peach picking...

It was a great Mothers Day! I am so thankful for a loving mother who taught me to honor and respect the role of mother and wife. It truly is the best calling that I've ever held. I love being a mom!
