Week in Review..

It was a very busy week here in the Johnson Household! Abby turned 10 months! She also decided to start waving, start clapping, start scooting, start crawling, start saying, "a!" for everything and go from a crawling position to a sitting position and vice versa and started pulling herself up on objects! Huge week!We were starting to get worried that she would never crawl and then she did it, yay!

It was also the last week of school! This also meant that Haley had her promotion ceremony and is officially out of Elementary school! Wahoo! She is totally excited and I am totally scared! haha!

Here's pics of Abby as she's waving and clapping!

Jacob had a year end program all about the ocean. It was very cute!

The last day of school also meant report cards! They all got straight A's! This success required a trip to Krispy Kremes to get their free donuts!
All of Jacobs cute ocean projects.
Ashlyn made a cool castle complete with a flower on top on our first day of summer break! It was awesome to beable to play outside, only low 90's!!

Week in Review...

I've been working on getting Abby to go down for her naps all by herself. She has different ideas about napping than I do:)
I got spoiled on Mothers Day for sure! I love all of the handmade stuff that my kids make at school for me, they get so creative and it melts my heart! I felt very loved!

We tried to take a Mothers Day picture, but the sun was too bright so they didn't turn out very well.

Abby has started to try and pull up on things, it is really cute. She gets frustrated doing it though!

Love that little tongue!

One of my preschool parents lives in this big community with a big pool and they're allowing us to borrow their pool key for the summer. We are loving it already! Abby had her first experience with swimming and loved it. She is a true Arizonan baby!
Haley had her last Elementary school orchestra concert and was recognized for being one of four students in her school that made the MYPO Orchestra this year. Huge accomplishment! She also had a great solo at the concert, which I recorded WITHOUT the sound!! Yes, I cried! So I'll put the video up and you can cry with me:(
We took daddy on a tour of their school after the concert and took pics by each of the kids classroom doors.

Abby with sunglasses on:)

Jacob had beach day on Friday with all of the kindergartners, they have a blast for a few hours!
Haley had to do a big project with researching a country. She chose Guatemala since Rick served his mission there and had lots of cool souvenirs to show. She did a great job! Can't believe that she's going to Junior High next year. SO scary!!

I also made a huge batch of strawberry jam with the .38 cents a pound strawberry haul that I got!

Week in Review...

Pre-Church selfie with some of my cuties!

Wanted to get a pic of me because I'm down 22 lbs!! Yea!! Although I think mothers day weekend has caused me to gain back all 22 lbs:(. Back to it on Monday!!

Kids had fun playing in the pool this last week, it's getting hot in here!
Haley bed take #1, so Haleys bed was really solid and very heavy and since I like to rearrange furniture a lot, I'm kinda moving towards lighter furniture. So I sold her bed and bought this one, it was super cute and we liked it. The only drawback was that it was missing a hole in the frame, so it wasn't as secure as I wanted it because I couldn't put the bolt in that needed to go in the missing hole. Also, it was really low to the ground because it didn't allow for a box spring. So I sent it back...

Oh and I got a haircut! Cut off 6 inches! I wanted to donate but I also wanted to be able to put my hair into a ponytail, and I couldn't accomplish both, so the ponytail length won out. There's always next time:)
And Abby can now wear a little pigtail! So cute!
Ashlyn is such a cute big sister! She always makes Abby laugh when we go for our little walks or runs.

Ashlyn and Jacob put on a Mothers Day program for me yesterday, complete with signs, decorations and chairs set up. They started out by each giving a speech on why they loved me!

Then they showed me all of their tricks that they can do inside the pool, and outside the pool:)!

No makeup selfie with my little performers!

Haleys bed take #2, this bed was cheaper than the other one and it came with all of the right holes and parts! Plus she can use her box spring so she is higher off the ground. We'll keep it!

Rick took us out to dinner last night to Apple bee's for Mothers Day. Haley was wearing Ashlyns tiara and since she is anti-girly things all of the time, I had to snap a picture without her seeing it!
Too funny!!
It's been a great mothers day weekend! I woke up to pancakes, bacon and eggs and the kids are super excited for me to open all of their gifts that they made me. Rick also made me a yummy cake and we couldn't wait to eat it, so we had some last night! And no you can't accuse me of licking off the frosting from the cake stand! Or my kids either....ok, yes you can!:)

I think Abby wanted to taste it too!!

I hope that my mom knows how much I appreciate and love her! She really is the best mother in the world! She is my biggest cheerleader and has always had my back. She is the best example to me of what a selfless mother does for her kids and her family. I learned from her to always put others before myself and to work hard to get things done, and I'm very independent like she is, fixing things and moving things by myself. She is a very skilled cook and baker and I wish I had received those qualities from her, but I'm working on it! I know that she has a love for Christ because of her example to me of serving others. Thank you for all that you have done for me Mom! Love you!!
