Week in Review..

Abby turned 6 months yesterday! It really does make time fly faster when you have a baby in the house! It seems like time won't slow down:(. Abby is the sweetest baby, her giggles just make me so happy. She is constantly moving, either kicking or waving her arms around. She loves to play under her mobile play-mat and reach for the toys above her. She is super fast now at rolling from her back to her belly, but is still working on rolling back to her back. She is such a good baby that I can't believe how good she is and Rick and I are often saying, she's so good! She'll sit on our laps and just play with her links while we're sitting down. The only time that she really gets mad is when I'm picking up the kids and I'm in the pick-up lane and not moving...she hates that! As soon as the kids get in the car though she's little Miss happy again! She loves her siblings and gives them smiles and giggles and coos at them. Her cheeks have turned pink within the last week and I wonder if it is from me constantly kissing her??!! Nah!!:) ha! She is definitely the light of our lives right now and we couldn't be happier that she is here!
This last week I had a parent-teacher conference with Jacobs teacher. I was so worried!! She surprised me by saying that he tested in the top ten of his class!! Yea!! She said that I definitely made the right decision in having him do kindergarten again and that he is doing really good and is prepared for first grade now. I was so relieved! He has grown so much this year.

Here is Abby showing off her river dancing...

Week in Review...

On Friday we hiked Cinnamon Roll mountain and it was beautiful! I had Abby on my back and I got a lot of compliments about the cutie on my back.  I was exhausted but it was great!
Ashlyn loves her pillow case that she got from Grandma Hahn that she colored. So cute!
So this picture totally scares me! Abby rolls over to her belly as soon as she gets put on her back, so she is now sleeping on her belly!

I took this pic on my walk one morning, it was such a beautiful morning.
Love my Abby girl! She's always trying to sit up so she arches her neck to sit up.
She loves her little owl toy.

It was a great week, I'm down 6 lbs! I'm loving this challenge that I'm in, it's motivating me to work out 5-6 days a week for 45-60 minutes and eat more fruits and veggies and 0 sweets. I've found that I'm no longer craving the sweets which I thought would never happen. Love it!

Going Private Again...

Ok, so I was going to leave this new blog public but I like to post tons of pictures every week. Therefore I would feel more comfortable being private again. If you would like an invite, please let me know in the comments below:) Thanks!

Week in Review..

Guess who found her toes? ha! I love this stage!! It is the cutest! This week was busy with lots of fun outings and a new weight loss challenge!
New Years Eve we celebrated around 8 p.m. with sparklers and Sparkling Cider, the kids love the sparklers.
New Years Day I started a new weight loss challenge where we get a certain amount of points for eating 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables, points for exercising from 30-45 minutes 5 times a week, points for drinking 72 oz. of water, points for not eating sweets all week and a % of points for how much weight we lose. The hardest part about the challenge so far is the exercising, 45 minutes is a long time! Especially when I haven't been working out at all. So far I've been running and speed walking as my exercising while the kids play at the park, it works good for me and I've already seen some results and it's only been a few days. Who knew that by simply doing all of the things that we know we're supposed to do that it would actually work? ha!
We have discovered scooters at our house! We've done the whole bike thing and it's totally overrated! Every time the kids would ride their bikes they would come home with a flat tire, thorns in the tires, seats needing to be adjusted, chains coming off, etc. Jacob got a scooter for Christmas and it has been maintenance free! I'm hooked! Ashlyn bought one with her Christmas money and now they scooter all over the place.
I forgot to write about what the kids got for Christmas, for memory sake:)
Haley got a Chord Buddy for our guitar, she wants to learn how to play. She also got a Disney mic for a singing karaoke app, headphones for the ipad, a journal, and a BB gun, and The Lightening Thief Book.
Ashlyn got a tea set,  a diary with a key, a scooter, Leapster GS, Hungry Hippos Game, Trouble game.
Jacob got a scooter, walkie talkies Leapster GS, capguns, Gumball machine, and gumballs.
