Guess who found her toes? ha! I love this stage!! It is the cutest! This week was busy with lots of fun outings and a new weight loss challenge!
New Years Eve we celebrated around 8 p.m. with sparklers and Sparkling Cider, the kids love the sparklers.
New Years Day I started a new weight loss challenge where we get a certain amount of points for eating 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables, points for exercising from 30-45 minutes 5 times a week, points for drinking 72 oz. of water, points for not eating sweets all week and a % of points for how much weight we lose. The hardest part about the challenge so far is the exercising, 45 minutes is a long time! Especially when I haven't been working out at all. So far I've been running and speed walking as my exercising while the kids play at the park, it works good for me and I've already seen some results and it's only been a few days. Who knew that by simply doing all of the things that we know we're supposed to do that it would actually work? ha!
We have discovered scooters at our house! We've done the whole bike thing and it's totally overrated! Every time the kids would ride their bikes they would come home with a flat tire, thorns in the tires, seats needing to be adjusted, chains coming off, etc. Jacob got a scooter for Christmas and it has been maintenance free! I'm hooked! Ashlyn bought one with her Christmas money and now they scooter all over the place.
I forgot to write about what the kids got for Christmas, for memory sake:)
Haley got a Chord Buddy for our guitar, she wants to learn how to play. She also got a Disney mic for a singing karaoke app, headphones for the ipad, a journal, and a BB gun, and The Lightening Thief Book.
Ashlyn got a tea set, a diary with a key, a scooter, Leapster GS, Hungry Hippos Game, Trouble game.
Jacob got a scooter, walkie talkies Leapster GS, capguns, Gumball machine, and gumballs.
