Week in Review...

This week was a tough one. Abby was really sick, throwing up  a lot and missed a few days of school. We found out that Jacob's new school which has been going so well will be closing at the end of this year. We will need to find another virtual school for him, he's been loving it. Ashlyn went to the neurologist on Friday and they think her headaches might be happening because of the tightness in her neck, so we have been massaging her neck. We are going to try the chiropractor and physical therapy as well. We will see if it helps. Ashlyn's latest painting...

My sister Kim found this old picture of our family with our cousins the Davis', fun to see and remember the memories.

Week in Review...

Some Flashback pictures that my sister sent of Baby Sarah, me, Carrie and Ryan from Halloween. So cute!

Ashlyn went to a girls soccer game for her mutual this week, look at that sunset!

Jacob sent this picture of the Mesa Temple that's hanging in the Albertsons store!

I thought this quote was so interesting...

We got to watch Grandma and Grandpa J give their homecoming talks, they both did great!

We took Jacob to the audiologist on Monday and they told us that last year his left ear was just under normal hearing range and his right ear was fine and that this year it was the opposite ears. So now we need to go to the ENT to find out why they're fluctuating. Ashlyn had a pretty good week healthwise, hopefully this week will be good too. Rick starts his physical therapy tomorrow morning so we'll see how that goes! Hopefully a great week coming up!

Week in Review...

Thrpwback picture to when Abby was in preschool, so cute!
Abby got some hair chalk for Christmas and she has really enjoyed playing with different colors in her hair that wash out every day.

Jacob got a keyboard for Christmas and has enjoyed learning how to play the piano again...

The dogs have started sharing this big dog bed and it's so cute...they actually like each other now.

Last week we took Ashlyn to the Cardiologist and they did the ultrasound of her heart and luckily found that it was strong and healthy. They believe that she has POTS syndrome and advised her to up her salt intake. we got her some salt tablets, pretzels and ramen. We also got her some compression socks. She has an appointment with the neurologist on the 26th and we are hoping to figure out her migraines.

Jacob started his job at Albertsons this week and worked 23 hours! He loves it but is exhausted. He also started online school and absolutely loves it! He says all of his teachers are very nice and his classes are pretty small, about 20 kids. He's a busy little guy! We take him to the audiologist tomorrow to see what they say about his hearing. Busy week coming up!

New Years Eve

We got a small pack of fireworks for New Years Eve and had our own celebration, then the kids went to a neighbors house to watch a lot of fireworks go off! Rick started walking on Monday and has been gaining more and more stability everyday. He no longer wears a brace at all! His MRI is tomorrow, so we will find out what happened at his next appointment on Friday.

Abby had a movie night at the neighbors house...
My amazing nephew Trevor gave his homecoming talk and it was awesome. He is truly one of a kind, we are so blessed to have him in the family.

Jacob got a job this week! He'll be working at Albertsons pushing carts and will be in charge of the electronic sweeper. He's so excited to start a real job. He's also been dealing with a lot of hearing issues, so we are switching him to an online school, we will see how he does. Hoping to get him enrolled soon. We also have an appt with an audiologist in a few weeks to see how his hearing is doing.

Week in Review-Christmas!

Christmas was great! Ashlyn got these cute pickle ornaments from her friend because she likes to tease her about not liking pickles! HA! Luckily, I love pickles so I'll allow it.

We got to meet up with Becca and her family in San Diego and went down memory lane with some pictures she found. Here she is with tiny Jacob a few days after he was born...
This picture we decided truly shows how small he was! He's got a huge blanket covering his tiny body, but look at his head, so tiny!
This was at Becca's BYU graduation....
Cute Haley wearing Aunt Becca's graduation cap!
Abby with her cousin Jude...
Saying goodbye to grandpa in San Diego...

This is proof that I was there on Christmas morning, super tired as normal. Ha....

Grandma was there too...
And Grandpa!

We went on a hike on Christmas day, it was a beautiful day!

We went to SeaWorld while we were in San Diego, it was so tough wheeling Rick around in his wheelchair but it was fun...we got to see the Orca Show....

We also saw the dolphin show and they had these interesting whales do tricks...

My sister went up to Washington to see our parents, look at how cute!

We played lots of games with the grandparents...
We went to some parks and practiced with the wheelchair before SeaWorld...

The kids got pjs for Christmas Eve...

Abby got a water bottle from Haley...
Pretty Ash got a new curling iron and sweater..
We made it to the top of the mountain on Christmas Day....

Our hotel in San Diego was across from Costco, very convenient!

Notice all of these people sitting in the disabled seating? Yeah, I had to stand even though I was with a disabled person. Ugh, people are so frustrating!

One of the coolest parts of the park was the shark experience, seeing sharks swim on top of you was so cool!!

Oh and our neighbors went too! It was so fun having the Weidmans there! Ash and Emilie and Jacob went on the scariest roller coasters together, and I discovered that roller coasters terrify me now. Who knew?!

Cute Abby!

Do I look tired? Pushing around a wheelchair all around a huge amusement park is not for the faint of heart!
Worth it so that Rick could be there though! He had a great time seeing all of the shows!

Trooper of the day...
Abby surprised me and did really well on the roller coasters! She was super brave, she had been super anxious about going to the park and all of the unexpectedness of the day. She's constantly surprising me with what she's anxious about and then being so brave through it all...

The sea lion and otter show stole the show for all of the kids, they loved it!

We made lots of fun memories!

We ended the day at PF. Changs, we were all exhausted but it was yummy. First time going to San Diego and not going to the beach, but we had a great time.

We got invited to a Taylor Swift party last night, Abby was in heaven with her friends, singing and eating and making bracelets...

My nephew Trevor did an amazing job on his homecoming talk today, he's inspiring to listen. His testimony is so solid! He's quite the guy! Brady did a great job on the youth talk too, it was so fun to listen to both of them....
Cute Carrie's family...

Weidman's with their adopted Abby, Emilie and Ashlyn were off riding roller coasters!

Jacob Weidman...
It was a great time with lots of fun people!
