Week in Review...

I had my last week of Student teaching this week, it was bittersweet! I loved my student teaching experience and learned so much! I'm sad that it's over, I feel like I still need to learn so much more and i'm not ready to start as a real teacher. Luckily Zaharis decided to re-hire me as an aide for the last few weeks, so I'm just waiting for paperwork to push through and then I'll be back at the school...it's been a fun ride!
My first mentor teacher Emily Ogden in 4th grade...
My fellow aide that also went through the program and will be a middle school teacher next year...
My Sped Mentor teacher Julie Cooper, we will be co-workers next year...
My co-hort at ASU...
My first day of ASU classes a year and a half ago...
I dressed up as Jean Beret for the wax museum...

Rick got to try out his kayak, I dropped him off farther up the river yesterday. He was estimating about 2 hours down, but he ran into a fellow kayaker who told him it would take 3 hours. So he booked it to get to our meeting spot on time. He pulled in as I was pulling into a parking spot! He's exhausted today...loves his new kayak!

Our neighbors were taking an interesting approach to getting around in Sacrament meeting...

It was a good week...

Week in Review..

Last weekend Kristys family came up to go to Rob's cabin, so we got to see her for a few hours on Sunday.

We got a few caterpillars for Abby, and it's been quite the experience. I had no idea there would be so much blood involved! There was blood when they came out of their cacoons! So crazy. We have one caterpillar left, it's taking its sweet time turning into a cacoon, so we aren't sure whats happening.
We went to Red Robin on Saturday to celebrate Ricks birthday, the kids loved it!

Can you see the butterfly? Another thing we learned is that they come out looking grey and white and then over 24 hours their colors start to appear...
On Saturday I did the Heidi Hustle, celebrating Heidi Wrights life!

We released the butterflys into the world...

Rick had his birthday on Tuesday, he got a new kayak and a massage gun that Ashlyn and Jacob gave him.

He wanted Rib eye steak for dinner and texas sheet cake for dessert, it was all delicious...

I figured out a math question that was on my test that had bugged me!

Ashlyn had an orchestra concert on Ricks birthday, it was 2 hours long! She did great!

Rick went kayaking on Saturday and had a great time...

Abby has grown in her confidence so much! On Friday she went into a kindergarten classroom and read a book to the class! The teacher said that she read clearly, loudly and showed the pictures...

Jacob wrote this on our driveway it says, if you're having a bad day listen to some Strive to Be Music.
