Week in Review...

Abby would much rather buckle her baby into her car seat these days! haha!
Haley went to her high schools carnival yesterday and spent several hours going on the rides and having fun with her friends...

Abby had a tea party one day this week....
We finally got our taxes done and our refund came super fast. Most of our money will go towards Ricks surgery and school, but we set some aside for a new water softener because our appliances are getting so gunky with all of the hard water here...and we also got new garage cabinets!!
Rick wore a bolo tie in honor of his grandpa one day this week...
Look at our new garage cabinets!! So nice!! It's great to have everything organized and stored away now!

I got a before pic of our garage but now I can't find it anywhere.
We went to the Easter Pageant on Friday night and we had a great time!

We have lots of friends in the pageant this year, the Halls....
 The Weidmans....

Jacob Passey, who is the son of Ashlyn's teacher is an Angel in the pageant and he's one of the men that runs after Jesus yelling and screaming at him with torches the night before he's crucified. Jacob said that he has a really hard time doing that, he said that he just cries the whole time that he's running after Jesus, it makes the story come to life for these actors and for the audience. It's always a hard scene to watch, so I can't imagine being in it...Jacob just got his mission call to Argentina, it's been fun watching him grow up since he was 11!
On Saturday Ashlyn and I ran a 5K, it was the culmination of her running club at school called Z-Fit where they trained for the 5k and did cross fit. She has loved it! She was very motivating to me during the race and we even managed to run a min/mile faster than I normally run! She did great!!

Here she is with her friends Annie and Maycee.

Maddie our neighbor was there too!

My friend and RS president Diane was speed walking the course and she did great too. This is Ricks distant cousin we found out, their Great Grandfathers are brothers!

It was a fun race to do with Ashlyn, they even had a splash zone where they had kids with water guns spraying us down. Ashlyn wants to do it again next year:)

Week in Review...

On Friday Ashlyn had a 'day on the prairie' where they spent the whole day doing pioneer activities. I sent her with rolls and cornbread and they had stew and succotash for lunch, they made real butter and played the stick pull game. She had lots of fun being outdoors the whole day and luckily it was beautiful cool weather for her.
One big development this week was are new addition to the family...Thumper! He's such a cute bunny, the kids are loving taking care of it and chasing it all over the yard.
We also had our first soccer games this week, Jacob played goalie for a little bit in his game.
This is an old pic from Ricks work with his old Executive Director on the left and his Marketing co-worker Steve in the middle.

Lexi came to play this week and the girls had a lot of fun together...

I bought this 'cats claw' plant right before I had Abby and I thought it had died when we first planted it, but it loves the heat! It has these little suckers on it that attaches to the wall. I love how it blossoms in the spring. I love that it didn't die and is thriving now, I feel like I need more of these plants in my life....
Our new lemon tree is doing good and our garden is flourishing...
Jacob got to go see the A's play in a spring training game for a field trip on Monday!! How cool is that?! They even got A's hats!! So lucky!!

Haley was thrilled that we finally have a pet!

Jacob and his friends from the neighborhood hanging out in their favorite tree at the park...
We found this little nest with a bird in it on our wall. Spring has sprung!
We got our annual Easter treat from my parents, Abby was squealing with joy!!
Ashlyn made this cute little wagon in preparation for her day on the prairie...

Ashlyn's spring picture came out so cute!!
Here's Ashlyn playing some soccer ball, she has lots of friends on her team this year so that makes it extra fun!
Jacob's spring picture, so cute!!
We had a busy week, all filled with good things. Rick is healing his hamstring, slowly but surely. He is finally walking around without crutches! That's a victory!
