Week in Review...

It was a busy, crazy week in the Johnson house this week. We ended the week at the temple to see the gorgeous temple lights! Always a favorite!

Thursday was Abby's dental sedation appt and Jacob also had a really cute play that day that I had to miss, but Ashlyn was able to go and take pics for me. She also took videos but the sound isn't working, so that's a bummer. Jacob had a singing solo that I really wanted to hear, so hopefully another parent caught it on tape...

We got a surprise package in the mail from G and G Hahn, our favorite See's candy!! Abby's a bit excited!!

Her sedation appt was really tough on me, I had to help hold her down while they put a mask over her face to put her out and she was screaming and struggling so hard and by the time she was asleep I was in tears. It was really tough for me! Here she is after the procedure fast asleep, she was snoring!
Then she was still kind of out of it on the way home, but when we got home she was bouncing off of the couch like nothing had happened...so grateful that it wasn't a horrible experience for her. She just tells people that she took a nap at the dentist...

Rick is still healing from his knee injury, wearing a brace and limping around but we are hopeful that it will continue to heal and hopefully not need surgery.

Week in Review...

This has been a tough week for Abby. She had a dentist appointment on Thursday and screamed her little head off and we have gotten to the point where she has to have her cavities filled, so we had to set up a sedation appointment for her for this Thursday. $1000 Christmas present for her:) We have also been working on her acid reflux, she throws up every morning as soon as wakes up unless she has milk. Luckily prevacid is a miracle drug and working really well. On Thursday night I had to go to a Homeowners Association board meeting and she was crying so hard, Momma don't leave me!! I was literally in tears as I left her. She is extremely attached to me, we still haven't been able to leave her at nursery. Ugh!! Anyway, Rick said that it took about 10 minutes for her to stop yelling at him and then she slowly came and got closer and closer to Rick and then he texted me this picture and it melted my heart....

Ashlyn has been drawing these cute little elves everyday, she's such a cute little artist.
Ashlyn had her winter orchestra concert and Haley had to come and say hi to her favorite orchestra teacher, Mr. Levin....

We got a cute package from my sister Kim, they got these cute headbands and cute clothes and crafts! Thanks Kim!!

Haley had an orchestra concert the same night as my HOA meeting, so I didn't get to go and Rick had to take Jacob to a pack meeting, it was a busy night! Abby saw that Haley was getting dressed up, so she had to be a pretty princess too!

Since Rick is now working Sunday-Thursday he gets Fridays off to spend with me and Abby and sometimes the baby that I watch. We took her to a park to play. Last Sunday was his first Sunday working and he was able to have the sacrament at his work, a local ward brings in the sacrament to the residents so that was nice. He also played some LDS hymns at their grand piano because it's a really slow work day, and he doesn't feel right making calls out on a Sunday.

Last night was our wards Christmas party, we did a service project before we ate dinner. We put together blessing bags to hand out to the homeless when we see them...
We presented our gifts (blessing bags) to the savior....

Haley got to be a shepherd...

Santa and Mrs. Claus also went and knelt by the baby Jesus...

Waiting in line to see Santa, Ashlyn with her best friend Emilie...

Abby's friend Holly and her parents and their new baby as baby Jesus...

Abby was terrified of Santa, but she's like that with everyone so it wasn't a surprise...

Merry Christmas!

My sister Carrie had a little baby on Thursday and she had a really hard labor and then emergency c-section because the cord was wrapped around his neck and he couldn't move down. When he was born his lung collapsed, so he's been in the NICU. We are praying that he will be released soon so that he can go home with Carrie, or shortly thereafter. He's adorable, Austin Hunter Paul. Welcome to the family!!

Week in Review...

On Wednesday morning Jacob had a class presentation program. We made this poster for him and he got up to present who he was. He chose the 3 Stooges and gave a short biography about who they were, it was cute and funny. My shy boy has come a long way, presenting in front of a classroom of kids and parents, way to go!

On Wednesday night Haley had YW in excellence where she was presented with flowers for having finished her YW medallion during the last year.

The YW leaders, her new YW president on the left and was also her Activity Day leader throughout her whole activity day years, so it's fun that she gets to continue being a great leader for Haley. The lady on the very right is the mom of the baby that I watch...
We had an Activity Days activity on Wednesday and made these cute snowmen...
On Saturday we took the kids to a different park, they loved it!
They also had a neighborhood decorating cookie party, they had lots of fun!
Rick is still not able to walk with his injured knee, we have an MRI set up for next Thursday to see what happened to his knee.

Week in Review...

I built a little firepit in our backyard so that we could have a fire over the holiday. So far we have used it every night since it was built:) Enjoying the fire...

I made this cute sign the week before Thanksgiving, now I don't want to put it away...
Haley had a birthday on Monday and turned 15! This is going way too fast!! Time needs to slow down!
Her best friend takes her to seminary and so she brought her hot chocolate in the car for her, that was really sweet! She was so excited to get a ripstick, which she loves doing everyday! She also got some of her favorite music, socks, a cardigan and a speaker for her music. She had bbq chicken for her birthday dinner and I made frosted brownies for dessert.

We love our Haley baley babs!

For thanksgiving we just had our own little celebration. Rick started the morning by playing football with the elders quorum and came home with a very hurt knee. He jumped up and when he landed he heart a pop! He's been on crutches ever since...poor guy. I made a yummy pumpkin pie...
Rolls...
Turkey...
It was a yummy feast, we are so grateful for our many blessings!

And since I couldn't wait any longer, we set up the Christmas decor....Abby was so excited to help decorate.
She's the cutest little helper...

On Saturday we let Rick rest and I took the kids to the zoo...

We had fun...
