New Years

This last week of no school was a fun one. We worked on projects and spent lots of time together as a family. Lots of time was spent at the park, playing outside and working on the projects. On New Years Eve we were invited over to our friends house for games and fireworks. The kids loved playing the games, they had an xbox 360 set up and an old Nintendo system. Here's all of the kids with their sparklers...

Abby got a new scooter for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Hahn and now she can be seen scootering all over the house, she calls it her bike and loves it!

These fireworks were cool, they start out as a regular bloom firework but then they shocked everyone by shooting out about 6 feet in all directions! Wow!

One of the projects that we did was to refinish our table, we stained the top and painted the bottom. I like it! I haven't finished all of the chairs, work in progress...

This is from a park that we went to when Ricks family was here...

Yesterday we went to Castles n Coasters which is an amusement park in Phoenix. We have passed it numerous times on the freeway and it always looked fun, so we decided to try it out. It has one rollercoaster and lots of other rides and a miniature golf area and arcade. We had fun!

Jacob liked this one...
Abby rode this one once and wouldn't get on it again, but she loved the big scary rollercoaster that she went on.

It was a fun week! Haley got her report card in the mail and she got a 4.0! Great job Haley!!

Last few weeks in Review....

It's been an eventful few weeks. Abby got really sick on the last week of school before Christmas break. She got croup, then she got the stomach virus which was shared with all of us, then she got an ear infection and then she had high fevers and bad congestion for a few days. It was not fun and she was miserable. Meanwhile Ricks whole family came to Arizona for Christmas and we weren't able to see them because we were quarantined for a few days because we were all so sick. When we finally started feeling better we were able to get our family pictures taken! Abby was not happy and when we got home she had a 103.4 fever! So, it was understandable why she didn't smile and was clinging to me in the pictures. Poor baby! So glad that is behind us now. Here are the cute pics....

Rick took the kids to the train park with his family, while Abby was still sick.

This was our Christmas morning...Ashlyn got a lava lamp from Santa, Jacob got a skateboard and Abby got a baby stroller. Haley's big present was a tablet.

One day it was raining and Ashlyn found this face on a rock.
Abby got some really cute play shoes from her daycare friend. So cute!
We were able to go and see the Mesa Temple Lights with everyone...Abby still wasn't feeling too great but still thought it was amazing!

We had everyone over for Christmas Eve dinner, it was fun to have a program together. The kids loved all of the toys that we have for daycare.

His sister Kristy sang a solo, she has a beautiful voice...

His other sister Becca is pregnant with her 2nd baby and she just found out it's a 2nd boy:)

The kids opened up new jammies on Christmas Eve...

More pics of Christmas morning...

I got Rick some solar lights, so he got right to work setting them up.
Abby loves her stroller!
Jacob got an air hog that is pretty cool.

We took a trip to the park and they have a huge climbing Orange Monster, the kids loved it. It was very cold!
