Week in Review-April 15th

Last Sunday we had fun celebrating Ethan's 4th birthday at the park, Carrie made a cute Mickey Mouse cake for him. He had fun playing with the kids...
We actually had a hummingbird come visit our feeder...

Rick and I had the opportunity to go to the Mesa Temple on Friday, it was a beautiful day. It's coming in a few weeks, so we had to get in before it closed for 2 years...

We then went to eat at a little Mexican restaurant in downtown Mesa and we had the whole place to ourselves!
Rick went kayaking on Saturday morning and kayaked to the end of the lake! He got quite the workout...

Mom Hahn sent this picture that she found of four generations of Hahns, look at cute little Garron and Mathias!
Ethan getting excited for his cake...

Playing with his new toys...

We have this Cat's Claw plant that I planted in our backyard right before Abby was born, I thought it had died for awhile, but it came back to life and loves the heat! Look at all of those blossoms! It's called Cat's Claw because it has little suckers that stick onto the wall and climb. I love it! Our back neighbor keeps chopping it off of his wall, I guess he doesn't appreciate it's beauty.
Our tangerine tree is starting to blossom as well...
Jacob made these cute flowers for Rick and I ....
Two of my friends had birthday's this week, so we went and got some Gelato, it was fun...
I got up and hiked a mountain on Friday morning, always a fun time!

Zachary Whittle is giving his farewell talk today and so the Ryan Hahn family and my parents went up to Washington to hear him...

Excited to hear about Zachary's adventures in the Phillipines...
Last night we had a date night to Jesterz-Pat Finn was there from the Toyota Commercials-he's a funny guy! Also Grace Bannon was there, I guess she's also in commercials.
It was a fun night...

Mathias has now completed 3 weeks of radiation, go Mathias!! He is starting to lose some clumps of hair:(

Haley went and did baptisms for the dead at the Mesa Temple on Saturday, she was excited to go!

I took the kids to run the Runthird 5k, we brought along our neighbor Emilie. We had a great time, I pushed abby in the stroller and she got 2nd for her age! haha! We ran for Mathias, Rick and Emilie's mom Janette:)

Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings, Rudy and Goonies was there. He started the Run Third program, where we run first for ourselves, second for our families and third for someone who can't run:)
Abby was thrilled to get her 2nd place award....She loves all of the attention! This is what she looks like in primary when asked to talk in the microphone....

Week in Review-April 1st

Last weekend my parents spent some much needed time away at the beach, Half Moon Bay. Here's my dad contemplating the Universe...
Abby was sick the first part of the week so she missed out on preschool. Her preschool teacher described an activity that they were doing, so we decided to try it out. Wet chalk painting, it was pretty fun!
Ashlyn went on a field trip to the golf course and they watched a professional trick shot guy do some tricks. She had lots of fun...
Abby was able to go to preschool on Thursday and they had a little easter egg hunt...

They made these adorable bunny hats!
We went swimming on Thursday night at Carrie's place...

Friday morning we went to the Easter Egg hunt at the park by our house, Abby was clinging to me the whole time except for when she hunted for eggs. I was grateful for the few moments of not holding her..

My neighbor Bridget and her kids...
Like I said, Abby was very nervous about all of the people...
Haley did a fundraiser to raise money for camp, she made cookie dough to sell with her friends Alyssa and Bailey...
Abby got a twirly dress from a neighbor of mine that sells dresses, she loves it!

During the priesthood session I got together with some friends at the park, Abby loved playing with her friend Lexi...
We also dyed eggs....
Getting ready for the Egg hunt...

We also enjoyed listening to General Conference this weekend, several announcements were made. They will be combining the High Priest and Elders Quorum into the Elders Quorum and retiring the Home teaching and visiting teaching program, they also announced 7 new temples-2 of which will be in India and Russia! Great things are happening in the church, it was great to hear from our new Prophet Russell M. Nelson, he truly is a man of God.
