Week in Review..

We have had a crazy stressful summer so we just needed to get away! San Diego was calling our name:) We booked a cheap motel and were delighted to find that it not only had 2 queen beds but also a sofa bed! Hallelujah we could actually fit our whole family, we put Abby in a playpen and Haley on an air mattress! We hit up the beach on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before we left to drive home. It was a great trip, it's always hard to leave the amazing weather, especially having to go back to Arizona in the summer. But we had a great time!

Last Sunday Abby was reading a book to her baby and then Rick went and read to her, so she held her baby. It was too cute!

Jacob is a sweet older brother!

Rick and I celebrated 15 years on the 5th, we went and saw a movie, Pixels and got take out.

Then we went to San Diego....we love all of the parks on the beach!

Abby could've played in the sand all day long, she loved it!!

I kept trying to get her to look at me for a picture and she would get mad at me because she just wanted to play!

Abby found her way into my bed everynight...

Ashlyn is now a pro boogie boarder! She was amazing out there! Jacob finally got brave enough to catch a wave right before we left to go home, hopefully our next trip he will enjoy the waves more!

Week in Review...

Haley went to camp on Wednesday thru Saturday. They had to be at the meeting spot at 4:45 a.m.!! That's early! Then they carpooled to Payson where they hiked 5 miles down to a waterfall, they played in the waterfall for a few hours and then they had to hike back up the mountain for 5 miles! It was really hot and they ran out of water before reaching the top! Some of the girls were able to gather enough energy to go up the mountain and bring water back down to the girls. One of them suffered from dehydration and several of the girls got dizzy and lightheaded. They were praying for rain and cloud cover the whole way up and about 2 miles from the top they were answered with a huge thunderstorm with lightening and down pouring rain. They suddenly got lots of energy to get away from the lightening and made it up the mountain! They also saw a naked man that was going down the mountain to the creek!! Yikes!! Apparently it is a popular spot for hippies!! Wish they had known that before ALL of the young women saw him!! They were supposed to camp in hammocks but most of the girls were too scared to be outside, so luckily they had tents as an option. It was definitely an interesting girls camp, but Haley had a good time.

One of my friends got a new oven and was giving this one away, since it's all black and matches my other appliances I grabbed it!

Rick took Jacob and Ashlyn kayaking on Saturday morning. They saw wild stallions and an egret.

Week in Review...

Our prayers have been heard and Rick has had a much better week! He went back to the dr. on Tuesday and was basically told that he needed to be on a different kind of pill and luckily that one seems to be helping!! On Monday a special box arrived in the mail for Abby from Grandma and Grandpa Hahn, so when she woke up from her nap she got to open her present!

She was so excited!

She got a peg farm and a cash register. She has spent hours playing with these toys since then, they are family favorites now!

She also got a pretty new dress from our neighbor, here she is saying, "cheese!"

I took the kids to the park on Friday because it was pretty nice weather! Abby had her well check on Friday morning and she is finally 22 lbs! yea!! 3% for weight and 75% for height! She didn't have to get any shots, so she was a happy camper!

Haley had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, she got to go camping at Big Sur and go to San Francisco! Here she is with her cousin Kaylee.
