On Friday, we went to Red Robin to get our free birthday burgers. Turns out that they don't do birthday burgers anymore, such a bummer! They do free milkshakes, which is cool but not as cool as a birthday burger. We had fun anyway and enjoyed our food...
Ashlyn's best friend's boyfriend got her flowers and a treat because they were hanging out, and he didn't want her to feel left out when he brought flowers for his girlfriend.
This week was a crazy one. I've been taking Jacob to the asthma doctor, trying to get his asthma under control. When we first started going, his lung capacity was at 50%. Ideally, you want to be around 80% or higher. The goal was to get him into the 80s. Well, this week we found out that he's dipped down into the 40's so none of the treatments have worked, which means we've exhausted all of our options except for injections. He will start getting injections every 2 weeks to help control his asthma and hopefully push him up into the 80s. Once he gets up there, he can start getting allergy shots since his asthma is allergy-induced. Once he gets his allergies under control, we are hoping his asthma will be easier to manage and not require shots. His first injection, we have to be at the doctor's for 2 hours to make sure that he doesn't have a reaction, and we have to bring an EPI-PEN in case he does. Just a little nerve-wracking. I'm hoping this helps him feel better.
