First week of School

On Tuesday night, we had Meet the Teacher Night. We have a new team member this year; she's a brand new teacher, and we are excited to have her. She's tall!

Ashlyn had a craving for cinnamon rolls so she made a batch. They turned out really yummy!
I finished decorating my classroom but I wanted something for my door. Ashlyn made this banner sign for me and Abby approved the message...

Ashlyn drove up to Jacob's Lake Inn on Thursday to get all of her stuff...

She went to the Salt Caves again and got to say goodbye to all of her friends...

Abby's first day of school was a rough one. She was so anxious and nervous about starting that she had a panic attach and threw up as soon as we got in the building. She was shaking and crying, it was really hard for me to see and not know how I could help her. I walked her to class and I told her teacher, and her teacher could tell how nervous she was. She took a break in another teachers class and then was able to join them for the rest of the day. She said that her teacher said that she could sit right next to her and ask tell her if she needed a break anytime she wanted. We are so blessed that she has had amazing teachers, who get her and understand her. First day of 6th grade...

Jacob's Lake Inn...

Ash saw lots of burnt forest on the drive up...

Ashlyn brought home all of these delicious cookies, these are the cookies that she sold in the store....and Rusty ate every one of them over night. Ugh!!

Abby's doing much better now that she's experienced her first day and knows what to expect with her new class and teacher...

I went to a bridal shower yesterday and they had flowers for everyone to make a bouquet, it was such a cute idea!

Ashlyn drove home on Friday to make it in time for her friends event, they redid a trailer into a bookstore. So cute!

First day of 6th grade for Abby and first day of my 4th year teaching.

Abby said that she's grateful for the miracle of medicine that helps her and that she's been blessed with teachers who know and love her. I agree! Jacob had a good day of his first day of his Senior year, he didn't want a pic. But he's already excited to be out of school in 179 more days. HAHA.
