Week in Review...

Trevor got to meet the General Young Women's president Emily Belle Freeman! Lucky guy!
It's been a busy week with lots of events happening at school and church events. We had a wedding and then a baptism last night for an investigator in our ward. It was really cool to witness both events. This couple has already invited a single mother and her 3 young boys to church and they came today. They're already sharing their light. Our ward had a ward campout this last weekend but with our work schedules we weren't able to make it. We were super bummed, but hopefully we can go next year. I need to see Rick try and put up our crazy tent! ha! This last Friday was my big brother Ronny's birthday. I hope that he had an amazing day and knows how much we love him!

Week in Review...

Jacob in all of his creativeness created this basketball hoop in our backyard. He made it out of hangers, yarn and 2 green yard poles. He never stops amazing me.
Look at that green grass! We found that the trick is to water it because we didn't get any big monsoons coming through this summer, so we had to provide the water...
I found this when I was getting out the halloween decorations, so cute of Haley!

Abby lost in the semi-finals for volleyball, but we are proud of her for learning a new sport, being brave in playing in front of parents and going to all of the practices. She loved it so much that we signed her up for another season...

My cute parents have been in Hawaii this last week, they've enjoyed the beach, pool, shops and food. So glad that they got to go....

Cute Abby in the makerspace at school where they can create lots of cool things...

Abby reading with her kinder buddy...

My sweet sister Sarah invited the cousins over for dinner last Sunday, so nice of her!

It's been a tough week with lots of social media threats against schools, there was a specific threat against Red mountain high school on Friday so I told Jacob not to go to school. When I checked to make sure that he was home, I saw that he was at school. I texted him asking why he didn't stay home and he said he thought I was joking. Ugh! Luckily they were safe and the kid was arrested, saying that he did it on a dare. The world we live in is so scary. I'm so glad that my kids are safe. I got to go to the baptism of 3 of my primary kids and it was so beautiful. I'm so glad that I am living my life with faith and trying to be like Christ because HE is the only source of truth and peace.

We also got to go to the Diamondback game! It was so much fun even though they lost really badly 15-8. It was fun to be there and to watch them play...

Abby's teacher sent me this pic she took of her spelling test, so sweet!

On 9/11 we wore our red white and blue!

My aide and I were twinning again!

Our PTO gave us new State 48 shirts this year, they're pretty cute!

Jacob started working on Monday and likes it so far, he gets to work in the cafe, and be in the air guard (watching kids jump safely) he also gets to play dodge ball with the kids. Ashlyn is adjusting to college courses and Ashlyn loved going to the high school on Friday and helping the color guard with their hair and makeup for the game. Then her and Jacob both went to the homecoming game, they had fun.

Week in Review...

On Monday Rick took the girls to go see Despicable Me, as I was still not feeling well.
On Tuesday Jacob had an interview at our local trampoline park and got the job! He starts tomorrow, he'll be running the concession stand and watching kids jump safely. He'll find out more of what he'll be doing tomorrow when he starts. He's excited.

Ashlyn is doing well with her college classes, and making new friends.

Abby won her volleyball game, they've won 3 games and lost 2. It's been so fun to see them grow as a team and learn this new skill!

I bought this cute dress with my birthday gift card, I love it so much! Abby took these pics and told me to strike a pose...

Rick started not feeling well yesterday, so now he's sick. His coworker has covid, so it may be that. He's been resting and will hopefully feel better soon...Jacob gave a great talk in sacrament today about how we can be an example of Christ. He talked about how he makes dinner for me to help me out and now the ward members are asking him to come cook for them, haha! We are lucky to have our Jacob!

Rick took the kids up to Payson to go kayaking and fishing, I was home sick....they had lots of rain up there!

My cute Mom and Dad at Anna's wedding...

Jacob had a birthday on Thursday, he turned 17! We are so lucky to have Jacob in our family, he's the sweetest boy who loves to cook, bake, be creative, take pics and videos and loves to not smile for pics, hehe. We sure love him! He requested hawaiian pizza and texas sheet cake for dinner and dessert!

Ashlyn spent the week taking care of a family in our ward while they went on a cruise, it was a crazy week for her but she survived all while going to school! She's a super mom already!!

I felt very loved on my birthday last Sunday, I got to hear from all of my siblings! I'm very blessed with such a loving and supportive family, Rick spoiled me by cleaning the house and making me breakfast. I'm so blessed to have him!

Ashlyn is getting used to her college classes and this week should be a little easier, because she won't be in charge of 3 kids and a dog. Jacob is not loving being back at Red Mountain but is making the best of it and Abby is having a great 5th grade year. She's grown so much already. Lucky to have such a sweet family.
