Week in Review...

Ashlyn takes the majority of our pics...

Ash's cute!

Rick got to go dirt biking with Jacob!

On Tuesday I got to move back into my classroom, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done but we were able to make it livable to have school in for now. Here's what I returned to...

The things that I was most worried about were fine, phew!

Here's my room ready for school again, we started back up on Wednesday and the kids were amazed that every room was missing ceiling tiles.

Abby made this rice bean bag at activity days, she warms it up each night before she goes to bed...

Ashlyn got to watch her friend Sara get her red belt in karate on Saturday!

It was a long and stressful week, but we are grateful to be back in our classrooms at school and that the weather is finally starting to cool off, especially at night. The end of the heat is near and we couldn't be happier!

Storms rolling through...

We had a huge storm roll in on Tuesday night that destroyed my whole school. Only 3 classrooms were spared. Someone shared this pic of the storm just dumping rain on top of my school. On Wednesday when I walked in my classroom was raining, it was the craziest thing I've ever experienced.

Ashlyn's art...

We had a bunch of news people come through our school and one featured my classroom, here it is...

Rick is making sling shots for Mountain Man coming up in October..

This was the scene that I walked into on Wednesday...the debris on the floor is from the ceiling tiles falling down...

Abby went to her 2nd gymnastics class on Thursday night and is absolutely loving it!

We watched the football game from home on Friday night and got to watch Ashlyn perform!

Rusty likes to stand guard in our backyard waiting for his chance to try and catch a lizard or a bird...it's so funny to watch him being so still and waiting for his chance.

We are waiting to hear back from the school if we will be moving back in tomorrow or if it's going to take more time. It was hard to walk into my classroom and see all of the materials that I worked on for hours just destroyed in seconds, all of the pictures that I took may be destroyed as well because they had to heat up the school to 120-150 degrees to speed up the drying process. It has been quite the adventure.
