Week in Review---Birthday week!

Ashlyns good friend from Colorguard is moving to Texas! We are all going to miss her!

Ashlyn takes lots of pictures at school, I'm not sure if she remembers that I can see all of them! haha!

Ashlyn has been very sweet to Jacob as he's getting used to high school, he ate with her for the first week at lunch but I think he has found where his friends were and eats with them now. Look at these cool clouds we had last Sunday!

On Thursday it was my birthday and these cute girls made me a birthday cake poster! So sweet!

Janette brought me these balloons and cereal for breakfast as I was getting kids off the bus! So sweet!
Ashlyn and I were twinning!

I got lots of dresses for my birthday and new shoes! I'm all set! It was a great birthday!

Ashlyns pretty nails!

Ashlyn made me brownies for dessert since I'm being super good and trying to eat healthy, so she made brownies since she knew they would be eaten up fast and I wouldn't be tempted to eat them over the next few days, haha!

Ashlyn made this cement stepping stone, it turned out so cute!

We are all trying to adjust to our new schedule and craziness. I had a few meltdowns this week, but I feel so supported by everyone. My principal checks on me everyday, my team is so supportive and my family is helping out a ton. I definitely couldn't do this without all of the support. I feel very blessed!

Week in Review...

Haley's so lucky, she got to hold baby Madelyn! Sarah's baby is so cute and tiny!

There was a free ice cream truck at the library yesterday!

Ashlyn is taking a ceramics class and she made these stamps for her projects, she'll use them to stamp each project she makes as her signature.

Rusty is getting so big and loves to play, he likes it when we throw a ball for him but he thinks it's keep away and not fetch. Once he grabs the ball he tries to keep it from us, haha. We are working on it!

Ashlyn got her new outfit for Colorguard this year, its a dress!

Jacob is taking a photography class, he takes lots of interesting pictures...

I won a welcome mat at our New teacher training, but I received this big gift box instead. I'll take it!

We also got these huge TV's installed in our rooms, I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I'm going to try yoga this week with the kids, hoping it will be fun.

Lot's of storms have rolled through but we live in a bubble where rain doesn't fall but it floods a mile away from us, boohoo!

It was a good, busy week. I've had lots of meetings, lots of planning and lots of learning. I feel like I'm making all the mistakes but luckily my team is very forgiving. Hopefully I can get all of the mistakes out now and just have a smooth rest of the year, haha! We all got sick this week, allergies, sinus stuff. Trying to take lots of vitamins and rest, hoping for a healthy week ahead!

Week in Review....

On Saturday Rick wanted to see how Rusty did on the kayak and in the water so he loaded up the kids and took them to the lake. I stayed home because I wasn't feel well. They came home and reported that Rusty loved being in the water, he was hesitant about being on the kayak, huddled close to Rick but we think he will love it when he gets more used to it....

We got a ton of rain on Friday when I was in a meeting after school, we could see the storm coming in. While we were in the meeting the VP came in and said that the gym was flooding, as I walked back to my classroom there was so much water coming in everywhere. The roads were flooded as I drove home and then I got home and the house got hardly any rain. Crazy how much a few miles can make in weather!

Last week Rick and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary, he got me flowers and M & M's and we went to Red Robin for dinner.
The dogs act like brothers, sometimes they're best buds and sometimes they're the worst enemies! haha!

This is a terrible picture of me, it looks like I have a huge bruise on my forehead but it's just the lighting. Rick and I were going to take a picture with us and the flowers and forgot, so I got a quick one before heading to bed...

It was a busy week as we are adjusting to our new normal, it's going to take the whole family pitching in and we haven't quite perfected that yet, but I'm hopeful.
