Week in Review...

This is our progression of trying to take a normal family Christmas picture! Between the little girl making faces and the dog trying to gain our attention, I had a hard time not laughing. We had to take a 5 minute break for me to stop laughing long enough to try and smile. Look at Jacob!! He even smiled!! It's a Christmas miracle!!

Abby also had a school presentation. She and a group of kids in her class presented on Glaciers. She also volunteered to present to the whole room full of parents! She did an amazing job and was so cute!

Me trying not to laugh and smile normally....
My last day of work was on Friday, the kids all wrote in this book that they read to me and gave to me. It was really sweet and of course I cried. I'm going to miss being with these kids everyday, but I'll have a new class to get to know and love...

I also got my hair done! I wish that I could do it the way that they can!

The teacher that I've been working with in Kindergarten, she's been an amazing mentor to me.
We had a holiday sing along on friday too, Abby's in there with the headband with lights lit up on it.

We got a visit from Santa on Saturday! Abby was so excited and a little nervous, but she was brave!

Ashlyn performed with a group of friends at church today, they did a beautiful string piece of Away in a Manger...

And Haley's friend from down the street came home from her mission on Friday! She couldn't believe how big the kids have gotten!

Abby wrote this sweet note for her teacher...

Merry Christmas!!!

Week in review...

A few more photos of Ashlyn's amazing Disneyland adventure...

It's my last week with my kindergarten class at school, and it's definitely going to be bittersweet. I'm going to miss these sweet kids so much! This last week we went on a gingerbread man hunt, the gingerbread man escaped the oven and we had to chase him throughout the school!!

We also took care of our neighbors dogs....

We got Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas card in the mail...

Jacob set up our lights this year...

We got some rain this week!

Haley got to go see the lights on temple square this weekend...

It's our last week of school before Christmas break, and my last week with a job as an instructional assistant. It's sad to leave something that has been so good for me, but I'm off to do bigger and better things!
Today was the Mesa Arizona Temple Dedication! All of our family got to go, even Abby! You had to have a recommend to get in and bring a white handkerchief. President Oaks presided and gave the dedicatory prayer and Elder Gong came with him and gave a youth devotional last night that Jacob and Ashlyn attended. We did the hosanna shout and it was amazing. President Oaks dedicated everything in the temple including the fount, the ordinance rooms, sealing rooms and celestial room. It was a very detailed dedication, he even repeated some of the dedicatory prayer that was originally given by President Heber J. Grant back in 1927. It was one session out of 3 sessions and it was broadcast from the Mesa Temple. Such a cool experience, we are so blessed that the Mesa temple will now be open again, it's been a long 3 years. It was awesome to have the kids there and to listen to how special the temple is really got me excited to go serve. We are so blessed to have so many temples around us. Abby said that she loved it!
