Week in Review...

On Monday we took the kids with the exception of Haley who was working, to a new park in Gilbert. They loved it!

We also played at our park, Ashlyn got to play badminton with her friends.

It was the 100th day of school last week and Abby had to dress up like a grandma. She wasn't too happy about it...
It sure looks like she's loving it in class though...
Abby made a bubble beard during her bath this week...
We had a few days with fog, that was fun for the kids to see. It's pretty rare around here. Haley took this pic on her walk to school....

Jacob took Abby across the street on saturday to play at an event they had, they colored and went in bouncy houses....
Haley took Jacob and Ashlyn to go do baptisms for the dead on Tuesday night, they waited for over 2 hours....

We have had our biggest crop of oranges this year, I'm juicing them every morning. So yummy!!

Haley got called to be our wards Organist today! She doesn't know how to play the organ, so she's hoping to learn. They said it was ok to play the piano until she feels confident to play on the organ. She's excited for this next adventure!
I've been running like crazy, trying to prep for Ragnar! I ran 6.5 miles on Saturday. I wasn't feeling well, so it was a tough run. I'm hoping to feel better in time for the race on Friday!

Week in Review...

Jacob saw this treadmill a block away from our house and asked me if he could get it. I said sure! So he wheeled it all the way home by himself. It took him about 30 minutes. We are loving it! I've been training for a Ragnar race coming up at the end of this month and I've been running outside, but this has helped me to run faster and longer. I ran over 6 miles on Saturday! So thanks to Jacob, I've been getting my training runs in!

Ashlyn went to her first church dance last night. She had a great time with her friends and even asked 2 boys to dance! She said that no boys were asking girls to dance, so she decided to ask. I was happy that she had the opportunity to dance.
Haley comes home with interesting stories from her classes at school each day. She had a fish that she would play with in her marine biology class last semester. She would toss a ball into the tank and he would hit it with his head out of the tank. I didn't believe her for the longest time, until she showed me a picture of the same fish and apparently they're very playful and have flat heads. Too funny!
Jacob continues to challenge us everyday, he is struggling in school and often is combative and argumentative at home. We hope that we can figure out how to live peacefully with him again.
Abby is our little diva, changes outfits 5 times a day and always wants new shoes. She found a pair of brand new VANS in her size for $6 at the DI a few weeks ago, she has an eye for good shoes.
Rick is busy at his job and really enjoys it, he loves being a manager.
I'm enjoying my job and am trying to keep sane with everything going on right now, and all of our kids:)

Back to school--Jan 12th 2020

Last Saturday I cut off about 5 inches from my hair. It feels good to have a fresh start to the year with fresh hair....

Shot of Haley coming down last week...

Haley and Ashlyn went downtown to go on the spinny chairs at the Mesa Arts center, they love that place...

Last Sunday Ashlyn was set apart as the 13-15 yr old President-they call it group 2. She's excited for the opportunity to serve. Rick got a new calling teaching Sunday School, Haley's class. He's loving it. Abby moved up to CTR 6 and they get to have their class upstairs, so she loves that. Jacob likes being an older deacon now, and showing the new boys the ropes. Haley is asking when she can go sky diving again, ugh!! Life is busy, and we are growing, life is good!

2020!!

We have really enjoyed our Holiday break, we spent lots of time at the park.

Haley went skydiving on Saturday, it was the most nerve wracking experience of my life. For her though, it was the epitome of cool experiences!!

After she landed....my heart could breathe again....
