Week in Review

We had some really cool storms last week, it was great to get some cooler weather and rain.

We celebrated Ashlyns birthday on Sunday and on Monday. Sunday we had cake with the Pauls and on Monday Rick took her out to Cold Stone, he also took the girls out to eat last Saturday for their birthdays at Texas Roadhouse. We sure love having Ashlyn in our home, she's our peacemaker and second mommy to Abby. We love her sweet spirit.

Haleys birthday we had orange chicken and brownies to celebrate, her Honk it's my birthday sign got washed away with the rain.
She went and bought a few goldfish because apparently you have to be 18 to buy goldfish. Too funny! We are glad that Haley is in our family, she's our music lover and we're excited to see where the future takes her...

Her friends gave her their gift at lunch on her birthday...
I got to go on a field trip to the Natural history museum with the class that I'm with, it was fun.

Apparently my name is now Lindsey Jonathan?? I told the lady it was Lindsey Johnson, but I guess she heard Jonathan, too funny!
Abby and I were matching a church today...

Ashlyn got a new dress for her birthday that is similar to ours...
Abby made this cute thankful turkey at school, she wrote what she was thankful for on each leaf...

One of the gifts that Haley got from her friends...

Haley and Ashlyn took their friend Sara and Abby to go see Frozen 2, they had a great time. Sister time is the best!

Week in Review...

We have been having some beautiful sunsets lately....
Last Saturday we had our ward temple day, Rick took the kids and joined some other youth for Baptisms for the dead... they each did 3 family names...

Carrie gave us her tomato plant to grow in our backyard, it seems to like our soil...
We have been trying to figure out some things with Jacob lately, so we took him to the dr. this week. We need to go back but we think he either has ADD or ADHD. It's been overwhelming to try and figure this out, but I hope that we're getting closer to helping him perform better in school and get the help that he needs. He's a good kid, we just have to figure out how to help him be successful. We will figure it out:)

Week in Review...

Last Sunday we had a neighborhood potluck and it was fun. We are so lucky that a brand new family with 4 kids moved in right across the street from us. They have a daughter a month older than Abby and they have really hit it off. We feel so blessed to live where we do, surrounded by good people.

I love this picture of Christ, I'm thinking about giving it to the kids as birthday gifts for their birthdays in primary next year.
Abby and Nova...
Jacob decided to cut off his bangs. You can't really tell from this picture because the lighting is bad, but he looked like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber, it was horrific. Like a good mom I didn't yell or scream at him At All. ok, maybe just a little.....

I quickly shaved off all of his hair and the next day he won his classroom's spelling bee!! He gets to compete against the whole school. Yay Jacob!

Ashlyn took this cute pic of our neighbor Emilie when they were playing at the park this week...
It was a much better week for us, most of us are feeling a lot better. Hoping the sickness is all gone from the house. The weather is going to start cooling off more next week, so we are happy about that. 80's are a little warm for November. 70's here we come!

Week in Review...

This week was a tough one for our family. A lot of us were sick. Lots of allergies, croup, sinus infections, etc. Wednesday Abby had a special event at school where she was going to present her haunted house that she made, but she woke up sick. This is a picture of her haunted house...it includes a swimming pool and a chimney but she didn't include bathrooms because she thought it would be funny to make the monsters go outside, haha.
Then she got to bring it home the next day when she was feeling better...
Ready to trick or treat as Moana, we got to to go trick or treating with the Pauls which is always fun!
Jacob is a referee, Ashlyn is a pioneer...

We had a neighbor boy join us too...

Also Emilie...

On Saturday Rick, Abby and Jacob met up with the Pauls to go kayaking and play in the water. I was at the dr getting rechecked for my cough...

It was a beautiful day on the lake...
