Week in Review...August 18, 2019

Rick got to go kayaking on Saturday, he gets up super early and is home right around the time that I wake up!

Abby is loving her K-1 experience. I go out to recess to check on her and she runs right by me, doesn't even take time to stop. I love it! Such a change from last year, she's making great friends and even shared in front of her class the other day. It makes me so happy to see her blossoming!
Our sweet neighbor boy had to have brain surgery again on Friday to drain his tumor which had grown back to it's original size. Poor kiddo. The surgery went great and he got to go home the next day, so amazing!!

We are adjusting to our new school schedule, crossing guard is fun but exhausting. with these super hot temps above 110 it's been tough. I just keep telling myself that it won't always be this hot. Haley is enjoying her senior year, gets to go straight from Seminary to her friends house for lunch. Only seniors get to leave campus for lunchtime, so she's enjoying that. Ashlyn is adjusting to being an 8th grader, top dog on campus. She's staying busy with lots of honors classes. Jacob is making new friends at school and enjoys being the top dog on campus too. I'm loving being in a 4th grade classroom this year, the teacher is sweet and the kids are fun. It's going to be a great year!

2 Weeks in Review....

Haley and Abby got their haircut for school, this was Abbys first pro haircut! So cute!

We helped celebrate Lilly's birthday on the 30th! She's such a sweet baby and I can't believe that it's been a whole year since she was born. We just love her, and she loved her cake!

One day this week it was raining and cooler, so we went down to the park. The kids had fun on the neighbors scooter...
2 of my sisters were on the other side of the map from us this week, Kim was in South Carolina for Katie's Army bootcamp graduation and Kelli is on a cruise!
Sarah made some of Mom's autumn soup and even though it's hotter than hades here I had a craving for it too. I tried making it in my instant pot and it was delicious and done in 20 minutes!
It was a beautiful night last night in the '80's so we took advantage and went to the park...

The kids started school on Tuesday bright and early at 7:30! I'm back as a special ed aide and I've taken on the extra hours of afternoon crossing guard 3 times a week. So we are back to being busy!
Haley-SENIOR
 Abby-Kindergarten in a k-1 combined classroom.
 Ashlyn-8th Grade
 Jacob-6th grade

Rick and I celebrated our 19th wedding Anniversary on the 5th of August and went out to eat at Red Robin. I'm so grateful for him in my life, he makes life fun and is a great husband and father.

Rick was able to go kayaking on Saturday and saw an Egret.

Abby's first day of school went really good, this is a great classroom for her. Her teacher reports everyday to me on how well she's doing. She is gaining her confidence, we are so happy!
